My cell phone needs an exorcist

Well, perhaps such extreme measures do not need to be taken yet, but there is something quite wrong with my cell phone.

I have an LG, and use Verizon, which has quite good coverage. I have never had any problems with reception or signal strength, aside from the rare random dropped call.

I just got back from Florida, and ever since I've been back I have had terrible reception. My most recent call got dropped three times in about 90 seconds. My signal strength averages about one bar, and occasionally I completely lose the signal. I've tried reseting the phone, taking the battery out, and updating the roaming capabilities. For the life of me, I can't come up with a good reason that my signal strength should be so low.

Please help TSI. :(

If it's an LG, then it's probably just suffering from mud withdrawal symptoms.

I had the same problem with an LG and Verizon. I had to get another phone. There was no reason that they could explain to me. There answer was to hand me a new phone. I feel your pain though.

Technically, I suppose that's possible, but the phone was never exposed to an extremely humid environment. Also, it worked when I called home in Detroit.

No idea honestly. They'll probably give you a new phone. Or just take the battery out, microwave the phone for a few seconds and then go to the phone store, saying it was like that when you got back.

maybe a broken phone can be a good thing

"on the way home can you get some" *phone cuts out*

or...

"Hi its mum" *phone hangs up by itself* ;)

Hmm... which part? Coastal, northern, or central?

I was there. I would know if it was excessively humid. It was not.But are you sure? :p

I was going to suggest salt or something.
