I once worked with a really funny IT manager who said he was with Abbie Hoffman when they levitated the PENTAGON (I said it was the white house earlier, but it was the pentagon). Yes, I said he said when they levitated it, not when they tried. According to him, not that I believe it, they got it to lift like two feet off the ground. Of course doing so would either crack the building where it meets the ground or just pull the lower levels up to be seen.

Yeah, it was a pretty famous trial. He was a bit of a nut but he was also right about a lot of stuff.
There was a movie about him called Steal This Movie! He was played by the dude who played Pvt. Pyle, Vincent D'Onofrio. Good movie. Nutty guy. Good cause. ;)
