Why is every state trying to have the first primary. New Hampshire supposedly has a law that would put it's primary in December 2007! Honestly, what the hell is going on here? If they keep moving primaries back, we will soon be electing the electors for president at the same time as we nominate candidates. It also causes the first primaries to influence the later ones. Why aren't they just all the same day? They could do one thing to fix our horrible electoral system.
Because the eailer your primary is, the more attention your state will receive. Nevada sure as hell wouldn't have gotten the Democratic canadates to show up for a few debates and talking about issues that pertain to Nevada if it hadn't moved up its date (normally we get ignored in the elections).
Since the GOP just did the same, we suddenly have seen the Republican canadates wander by to say hi as well.

I'm in full agreement. It should be on one day just like the National elections are on one day.

Primaries are this thing where people go to vote. It's a new idea, but I thought people know about it...:p

What do clones have to do with primaries? The Presidential Election is on one day and we do not have 50 of one of the candidates in each state. Why should this be different?
Hold the primary 6 months before the actual election. That gives the 2 candidates 6 months to tell the voters why they should vote for them.
