I wish it was cheaper, but I don't need a PS3 at the moment. I have one desktop and two laptops.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the PS3 is a AUD1000 paperweight. With Mercs 2 now on PC, I have no incentive to buy a PS3.

The XBOX 360 with goodies added is about 600 in Australia. PS3 is way too expensive.

Yea I've heard the PS3 is $1000 in Australia
is that true?
In Canada it is $660 for the 60 Gig version

There are plenty, just not so many who are big PS3 fans.
I had high hopes for the PS3, but with such a high price, and seeing as how almost all of my favorite games, Mercs 2, Grand Theft Auto, etc. are also going to be on the 360 (which I own), like many here have said, there is no incentive for me to fork over the green.
Xbox Live is easier to set up I think, and funner. Plus it costs way, way less.

Each console has their merits and their faults, so quit acting like fanboys, please.
As for me, I personally prefer PC Gaming to them all, but only because I can modify my PC as needed and its a lot easier to have everything centralized. I do own a PS2 and a Gamecube, though.

well...Ps3 (good version) is roughly (in Canada) &150 more than a 360 and 1 year of Xbox Live costs 60 or 90 dollars at Futureshop so that cuts the difference to about 100 or 50 dollars which to me doesn't sound too bad considering thats on;y 1 year of Live

yea but i find PC gaming to be too expensive and frustrating
you buy a video card and nine months later its obsolete :(

i don't know about New Zealand but in Canada the high-end 360 is $500 and the High-End PS3 is $660 low-end version are both $100 cheaper
