do you wear perfume or man-fume (whatever it's called)? i personally find most scents rather repulsive so i search out unscented anti-perspirants and soaps where i can, but i'm told this makes me weird.

i'm bored, so indulge me - tell me your preference, to smell or not to smell?

Cologne.

No, I don't wear cologne, strong deodorant, or use strong soap. It's just Speed Stick, Zest, and Irish Spring for me. :D

I'll generally wear a little scent if I'm going out but not always to work. Never anything heavy or in massive quantities.

I occasionally wear Lagerfeld's Chloe, or the Body Shop's Japanese Musk (which smells, to me, like baby powder).

Generally, though, all I usually smell of is my shampoo and deodorant.

I don't wear cologne, but my shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion all have the same scent, so generally I smell like that.

I use Degree "Ionic Breeze" and Irish Spring and Pert, so I usually smell like that and the detergent I use (Tide). After a while, I tend to smell like bacon.

A friend of mine, for some reason or the next, smells like disinfectants. Not the brand-name kinds you find in stores, but the kind they use in hospitals and crime scenes, complete with the crappy attempt at a citrus scent.

And I smell of time warp.

Irish Spring, Strawberry Suave shampoo, and Old Spice for the win! It's a cornucopia of scents that's pleasing to me as well as others.

Of course, when I can't afford that package (I currently can't), I just go for Green Apple Dawn anti-bacterial dish liquid and Arm & Hammer deodorant. Not exactly awe-inspiring, but it gets me clean.

Very light scented perfume if I'm going out or if there are clients coming in. Otherwise I'm just soap and deodorant.

My preference is for Chanel #5. Since I generally can't afford it, and I don't like the cheap knock-offs, I seldom wear perfume.

I find that most people 1. wear too much scent, 2. wear scent that doesn't work with their body chemistry, 3. wear cheap scent. Better to wear no scent at all than the above three.

I don't wear deodorant/antiperspirent of any kind. In fact, I've never heard of such a thing until I came to Canada. It's like a Western phenomenon or something.

I'm told that when I smell at all, I smell pretty good. So I usually only use deodorant during the big heatwaves New York gets in the summer. If the thermometer hits 90 before I leave the house I'll put something on. But even then I prefer to just shower more than once a day because even if I don't smell, I feel disgusting covered in sour salt. Like a granny smith flavored potato chip. Or perhaps a salt and vinegar flavored apple chip.

Not weird...I agree. Perfumes and scented anti-perspirants just smell like nasty chemical cocktails to me, which is probably because that's what they are. I generally refrain from using them unless i'm likely to be sweating a lot. I don't get bad body odour in normal situations.

I have a few colognes and au de toilettes(sp?) that I put on in the morning after my shower. Jean Paul Gaultiers 'Le Male' is a personal favourite, as is Polo and Boss 'Soul'. I wear unscented deodorant as it should never go in conflict with the cologne. I also pluck my eyebrows and shave my armpits. Yes yes, I'm a guy.

glitzi tells me that most women she knows tend to use unscented deoderants/antipersperants and then use perfum on top.

i, like most men, just smell of whatever my deoderant smells of, cos i can't be arsed to a) put two smelly things on me in the morning, and b) find two things i like the smell of...

Well, my BF loves strawberries, so when I'm with him I ususally use strawberry-scented shower gel and body butter from the Body Shop, and smell sweetly of strawberries.

Usually, though, I go for Nivea deodorant (which smells just like baby powder) and Cocoa body butter (which smells just faintly of white chocolate), and I wear my perfume, Flower by Kenzo Oriental. They discontinued that a while back, so I hamstered 4 flacons around christmas, it should last me for a few years now.
I love that scent, it's somewhere between sandalwood, amber and insence, with a bit of vanilla and jasemin. It's soft without being heavy.

My BF doesn't like after shaves, but he loves Old Spice deodorant. And I love that, too. :)

Speed Stick FTW. For soap, I just use whatever's in the shower, so I may or may not use unscented.

I sometimes use a bit of deodorant only mildly perfumed. (some stuff is absolutely disgusting. and whenever you are near someone who uses it, the stench sticks onto your clothes for a while) Most of the time, I don't, though. It's the quick-and-dirty fix if I start getting smelly.

Lol! I thought it was Isimiaki.

I like to smell nice rather than bad. So I brush my teeth, wash and put on antiperspirant. If I do wear other products, I generally like body lotion, mainly vanilla and soy, which smells great and makes me smell nice (according to my boyfriend and I don't really care what other people think) I just don't want to smell of bad breath and BO.

When I'm motivated to do so, I usually wear perfume oils. I particularly like Ananya from the Body Shop. Also, one of the local 'occult' (read fluffy bunny) shops makes a scent called Geisha I just adore. I will sometimes wear straight up amber oil, but not often. I tend to like scents that are feminine but not... flowery. Or cute. I'm allergic to cute. Cute is evil!

I wear deodorant/anti-perspirant and a little bit of perfume when I remember. I emphasize "little" because strong scents, or even light scents worn too heavily, give me headaches and occasionally migraines. I'm one of those girls who spritzes scent into the air then walks through it; I have a hard time handling anything more than that.

There's a girl at my office who I swear must go through a bottle of cheap body spray a month. She sprays it directly on herself, five or six full pumps of the bottle, each time she puts it on. And she puts it on at least three times a day while at work. Drives me crazy, and as she shares an office with me I usually end up taking excedrin a few times a week.

My current shampoo is scent with tea tree oil, and my soap is scented with avocado and apple. Neither smell particularly strong. But I like the smell of the soap.

I don't use anti-perspirant and I don't perspire. I really don't. Something to do with being tall and skinny. I have a large surface area to mass ratio, and I'm able to radiate much more heat before having to resort to sweating.

Oh, yeah, I totally know that feeling. If I take a shower at my girlfriend's house, I'm forced into using her shower gel and shampoo, so I try not to as much as possible.
