Cheap black/dark blue clothing for tall people? Manchester, England

Anyone know where I can get some good black clothing (it's gotta look good) or dark blue clothing for a tall person? I like my tops to reach over my crotch by quite a bit.

I live in Salford (but not far from Manchester) in England and like my clothes to be baggy (but for pants (NOT underpants < note to all people who calls underpants "pants"), there must be a way of securing them, eg. a belt or a drawstring (preferably a drawstring).

I also want to find clothes that are cheap (even £15 for a T-shirt is quite expensive to me).

Note: I'd prefer really dark blue rather than black, but black will do.

Ohhh ohhh try a shop!

There's LOTS of shops in Manchester, I'd rather know of a few to go straight to rather than look around all day.

I don’t know Salford at all well, but Primark stores are always cheap.

*sings to the tune of the MiB theme*

Come get your black bin bags,
they’re long and black and slender.
Come get your black bin bags,
They’re on offer till December.

Heavy duty black bin bags,
No matter what your gender.
Come get your black bin bags,
Whether bi or straight or bender.

Don't forget the mandatory "mad fer it" tacked on the end.

That's right, mancunians still do that...

As for clothes, the primark/tkmaxx in the centre is great for cheap clothes. Apart from that there's all the standard stores. The manc shopping district's fairly compact for clothing needs, just try places like H&M (there's two) which I like.

Sarcasm's often lost on people through the medium of the internets, isn't it...

I'm at university here and I'm from Preston nearby. I'm fairly aware of the dialect and colloquialisms of Mancunians. Incidentally, are you from Salford? I ask because apparently the high lead content of the soil leads to a much shorter average height in the area, was just wondering if it was a noticeable difference. Also, the telly tells me to avoid taking a Saab 93 there, as it is the car of choice for your joyriders :p

Erm.. any shop at all?

It's not like the kind of garments you have mentioned are rare. Just try looking in the first Primark you find, and tada.

i get most of my clothes in charity shops. find somewhere where there are loads together and just trawl through them, there's always something you'll want. and second hand clothes shops are even better because they tend to have the more unusual stuff, but a bit more expensive.

alternatively, buy a plain dark dress and modify it. it wouldn't be too hard to make it look like a man's t-shit, especially if you buy a really big size.

edit: or primark yeah.

Your telly's been lying. Any car is the car of choice for joyriders in Salford.

Also I'm over 6ft :)

They must be sister companies; it’s the same sort of set-up here in Glasgow.

$15 is expensive to you? Even in your currency?

What the hell does your wardrobe look like?! If you lived in the USA the only stores you'd shop at would be K-mart, Wal-Mart, and Salvation Army!

He said £15, which is about $30, I think.

I can kit out my entire wardrobe for the year for £15. But then I don't care about clothes very much. :p

Well my rule of thumb for you tea drinker's money is..

UK*2-5=$

Seems to get me close. *nods*

I usually pay in the $20-$30 range for shirts, $30-$50 for pants and shorts, so I have no idea what clothes you could get for under £15..

If you believe the big stores claims that their products don't come from sweatshops, you can pick up jeans for £4, and probably a pack of 3 t-shirts for the same price, with jumpers around £4-6.

ASDA, which is now owned by Wal-Mart, recently started selling a suit for £14.

Clothes? I like clothes, and would recommend Denim City, Hoax, Topman, Next, and any number of online places if fancy looking as damn good as me.

Budget clothes? Not so hot on this really. Best I can do is Topman.

Most prices for things in England are NOT good. And bear in mind that the dollar in the USA goes further than the pound in the UK. Decent bread costs close to a quid (80-odd pence)

but for pants (NOT underpants < note to all people who calls underpants "pants"),

But they are pants. What you're calling pants are called trousers.

Anyway, most clothes shops will have black or blue clothes for tall people. Now short people, there's a problem.:(

As I made clear in my first post on here, you (and others like you) are talking bollocks. Underpants are called UNDERpants because they go UNDERneath your pants. Combat pants are not trousers, they look and feel nothing like trousers (trousers are the kind of pants you have to wear in school as part of your uniform or have to wear as part of a suit). Underpants are not pants, never have been, and never will be, not matter how much people try to distort the English language. Pants are still pants and underpants are still underpants.

And try looking for black or blue clothes for tall people in the first three shops you find (by tall, I mean over 6ft by a good few inches)
