Time Warps

Is it possible that specific people will always warp above others, unless the time difference is too great?

For example, Ifreann posts right after me. Will his posts always go above mine, as long as the time between posts isn't greater than the server divergence.

i often warp myself, i'm not sure how that's even possible unless i'm being routed through two different servers or something. /has no idea how intertubes work.

I think I can steal post 3...

Edit: Doh, the other two stole it first.

I always seem to warp people. Don't know why me though.

Edit: Nope.

Do you guys also have the feeling that in the recent weeks the time warps have become worse?

I occasionally warp, but it's by no means a constant thing.

They have. There's now about a 3-minute difference.

I warp about 40% of the time.

For a while I was posting a picture of a DeLorean and writing "SPEED APPROACHING 88 MPH!!!"

But it never caught on.

Sometimes my posts emanate from five minutes into the future.

I was wondering if the time warp problem is because the server gets the minutes past the hour from your computer and not it's own server...

That's nothing compared to what's happened in future weeks. ;)

They're certainly terrible at the moment. I've had to leave several interesting threads I was participating in because the arguments became impossible for me to follow due to time warping. I was continually having to go back two pages to see posts I'd posted a second previously.

I've noticed lately that it takes the server forever to process my posts. I hit "submit" and wait... and wait... and wait... and every once in a while I get a "database error" right off the bat, and I have to wait... and wait... and wait for it to allow me to post again. There are times when I've just given up and posted the next day because it annoys me so much. Grr... :headbang:

It all depends on the threads available, I'd say... :D

So far, it's only been two - but who knows? :p

I have many smileys in store just waiting for a chance to be posted!!!

They definitely have. And normally, they'd occur for a couple of hours and then eventually cease. Now they seem to have become the norm...
