"Edwards and his fellows were intimidated by these left-wing bloggers..."

"Left-wing Stalinism..."

"Fox or no Fox, this is repression of free speech and free debate..."

"If what they say were true, that Fox were embarrasingly right-wing, it would be plain to see..."

etc.

Immediately followed by the "The only network that doesn't bring you the usual left-wing bias" ad (http://hotair.com/archives/2007/01/20/video-another-interesting-new-fox-news-promo/).

:D

This was all on The Beltway Boys, btw. Will post a transcript when it becomes available.

So, who's surprised? I'm surprised. Well, not really.

EDIT: Here's the video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=LAweP0oFzl8).

In other news, scientists have discovered that a long-known substance called H2O or "water" is generally very wet.

Mysteriously, 1lb of coal has been discovered to weigh as much as 1lb of feathers. Scientists are stumped.

How are they oppressive, exactly?

The irony is that they are only making themselves even less accessible for the average American by acting this way. Soon only their wing-nut base will even watch their shows.

Also interesting: They have lots of oil and desert there.

In other news, much to the Middle East's dismay, deserts are not the same as desserts.

Unless one finds sand to be a particularly sweet confection.

Right wing or left wing extremists, they're both going to end us,

I've been expecting something like this for some time actually.

It would be interesting to counter it with that line of "repression of free speech" by showing the "Obama is an evil muslim" case and it's subsequent revealing as false.

Then follow up with a single line "Free speech to slander?"

even if that's true it doesn't make them left-wing by a long shot.

Does anyone ever want to call O'Reilly or Limbaugh, two people who often shout down those with dissenting viewpoints, during one of their shows for the express purpose of outshouting them?
Zarakon

No. Because that would in many ways legitimize their stupid adolescent antics.

But it would be so much fun...

No offense whatsoever meant to any actual adolescents.

Thank you.

Didn't really have much of a choice, did they? I hope the Dems continue the freeze-out process all the way through the general election in 20 months.

I'm personally enjoying how a Fox VP now thinks that Sen. Reid isn't from Nevada any more.
