What do you see out of your window?

Take a look and tell what's the panorama.

I see a small skyscraper, a service courtyard, and a small piece of blue sky.

That's about the size of it. Corner offices are reserved for partners, associates get the offices between the corners, secretaries get cubicles (ours aren't the flimsy divider ones though) and admin staff get inner offices.

I'm surrounded on all sides by trees and hills-I'm on top of a mountain. Out the front, fairly dense woods between me and the road-a dead end,so no traffic. I cant see the nearest neighbor's house. Out the back window,I see tree tops and when the trees are bare, like now,I can see down into the valley, sometmes even the sides or tops of fog and clouds that settle there.
The sun rises are awesome most days.

No wildlife right now, but within an hour, I can expect to count many deer, sometimes 6 at a time, and often wild turkeys in groups of 8 to 12 walk through pecking.
We also have a red-tailed hawk's nest in a high tree in the back and see him often too.

Everything is covered with snow and ice right now,as it has been for weeks and its 5 degrees.

I can also see the steel framework and tower crane for the new 20-story condominium/office complex being built downtown; I've been able to watch it go up over the past few months which is pretty cool. Currently I am in my office, which is in the windowless basement of a building...

For the purposes of the poll, I voted for what is outside my window at my apartment (Which is also in a basement, but does have a surprisingly large amount of paneage). From the vantage point of my main window I see the parking lot of my building, the old house next door, a bit of a street, and the sky. I almost snagged an apartment with a view of the Parliament Buildings, but that did not work out. As it happens, my actual apartment is in a better location anyway.

If anyone is really interested, the window view makes up the credits part of my quick little virtual tour (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXxC29GS5U0) over on my Youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=Volantix).

The simplest, just-turn-my-head view is a six-story(counting the ground floor, as we Yanks do) red brick building, beyond that some taller, more modern buildings in the Denver skyline (my window looks west).

Turning around in my chair I see the flat side and windows of the new hotel they built across the street last year. Only one person has been observed undressing in front of a window there so far.

Turning a little more - we've moved from the northwest to the west and now to the southwest, I can see the new wing of the Convention Center, a church steeple beyond that, more brick buildings, Interstate Highway 25, more buildings of various kinds and finally the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains (forgot to vote for them, dang it). Oh, yeah, and before the mountains, Invesco Field at Mile High, where the Denver Broncos play American football.

Heh, I've found renovated apartments running from $680 a month in Brooklyn (thank you, internet listings!). They're in good neighborhoods, too (the ones that were the same price, but in Queens, were in really shady locations).

That alone makes Brooklyn the best. I mean, when a friend of my sister's (a native of NYC) is paying close to $3,000 a month for a 250 square foot dump with no air conditioning on the Upper East Side, you know that Manhattan sucks major ass.

Well, the area near La Guardia isn't great to live in, mostly because of the noise , I imagine. There are some areas of Queens that are slightly dangerous, but it is the most suburbanish borough in general. Except maybe Staten Island, but no one ever counts Staten Island.

From my bedroom? Sky, clouds, trees, country road, mountains and hills, and industry. I also see an interstate on top of that mountian.

From where I am now? Well.. from the one side, I see everything I already listed. On the other side (Where I am now.) I see acres of trees on a hill. Atleast that's what I would see, if I had the curtains open.

a small yard with trees. on the other side of it the back of my landlords house.
on the other side of his house is a street fairly quiet older urban neighborhood.
on the other side of ours is the alley.
this is probably as good as it gets where there's enough people in car oriented america for their to be any kind of a decent bus system, and at least we do have that.

he's a cool landlord and shares the fruit of his fruit trees with us.
he has a dog who loves me.

some people might call what we've got as close to perfect as you can get.

he likes birds.
i wish he'd let us have a cat instead.

what i'd rather see

garden+forest+mountains+winding paths+very narrow gauge railroad

although i guess a dirt country road would be 'ok'

now if there could be university engineering libraries, exotic restaurants and amusement park train sized narrow gauge multiple unit 'trolley' cars, (along with mountains and forest and gardens and winding paths), and WITHOUT paved streets, automobiles or parking lots, THAT would be closer to my kind of heaven. (and my house would look like something out of the flying concrete page or one of roger dean's paintings)

What a terrible view.

Pretty much the same. Except for the wildlife.. I've only seen a rabbit and crows this month.

Very much so. I absolutely love this town, and I've never actually liked I town I've lived in before. It's just big enough to have things to do, but not too big. Plus, it has one of these.

Out of my window I see my garden. Before last year there was a natural gulley with lots of wildlife which could be explored with much care. It was of the best natural wonders (albeit small) I had seen. But now its been filled in and now I see a soon to be construction site. :(

I see a three story bank, a four story mall, a bunch of four story appartment buildings and sections of three different streets, (one north/south, one east/west and one northwest/southeast.)

I can also see the building under construction that is going to totally block my view of two of the streets and give me a nice view of a brickwall fifteen feet from my window. LAME!

Looking out my bedroom window (though now it is dark, I face North. Starting from the left, there is a parking lot with 7 cars in as many spaces, turning I then see the 2 lane street I live on, which has parallel parking on our side, I see the townhouses across the way as well as several trees on that side. On our side of the street I see the lawn for me and my neighbour with 3 wrecked cars (we own 2, they own 1) that we have parked on it, and my neighbours two driving cars, which are parallel parked on the street along with a car carrier that someone round here drives.
