Sorry if this has already been covered, I've been away.

After sixty years of service and at a time when we need him most, Captain America has died after being hit by a bullet from a hidden and unknown sniper.

Is this a tragic mistake by Marvel?

Give it a week and we'll learn that the clone of his evil twin was shot, not him.

All I can say, is it's about time they killed Captain America. He's one of the dumbest super heroes ever created. :D

I agree though that they will resurrect him one way or another, whether it be genetic experiments, life saving medicine, a set up to make him "look dead"... or hell, maybe they'll have Hitler come into it somehow with secret WWII Nazi time travel experiments. :rolleyes:

Captain America fought Nazis, albeit not as cool as the Rocketeer but pretty darn cool

Also, the sniper isn't unknown. It's Crossbones.

Damn you and your spoilers. I'm still catching up on the aftermath of M-day.

Cap has already been shot and "dead" in the exact same manner in a Cap/Punisher crossover way back.

Story took place in the 3 part miniseries
"Blood and Glory "

Published November 1992.

In it Punisher gets fooled into beliving Cap is involved in illegal gun running , so he shoots him and Cap asks Col Fury to be "dead" in order to find out why he was shot.

Cap and Castle then meets up, finds out they have been tricked and then kicks bad guys ass.

So is it a Rehash or ?
