Two children managed to have sex at school with a teacher present and classmates egging them on, it emerged yesterday. The incident, which happened in Indianapolis, Indiana, has been kept secret since November. A school official said once the teacher found out what was going on 'immediate action was taken' and expulsion was recommended for the students, aged 11 or 12.

Exactly. The reason it was kept such a deep, dark secret for so long is that both of the kids were boys. If it had been a boy and a girl, they would have issued a press release, and the students would have been admitted to the honor society, because, hey, at least they weren't gay. That's surely something to celebrate, right? :p

Well, here's a few questions on that.

1) As a parent, is it not my responsibility to teach my children how to take responsibility for their actions?
2) As a parent, is it not my responsibility to ensure that my children know about what is and is not socially acceptable behaviour, and what the consequences of stepping outside of that boundary are?
3) As a parent, is it not my responsibility to ensure that my children know about the consequences of sexual intercourse?
4) As a parent, is it not my responsibility to help my children to grow emotionally and to learn how to deal with their emotions and desires? (specifically sexual attraction in this case)

Maybe this is just me, but I'd confront my son or daughter about it. If all 4 of these criteria have been convincingly demonstrated in my kid's decision to engage in a sexual relationship then I would be entirely behind their decision. Anything else will be viewed as a failure on my own part and will be met with an attempt to rectify that failing. After all, there is at least one more responsibility for a parent in these circumstances; the understanding that our children will sometimes make mistakes and a preparedness to help them learn from these mistakes without shunning them for what they've done.

In fact, girls can reach puberty between 9-12, while boys don't generally experience puberty until the age of 14. Therefore, lesbians having sex at 13 certifies that they're genuinely lesbians and not just misunderstanding of their feelings, and that they're physically ready for sexual activity. Straight or gay couples waiting until 15 guarantees that both sexual members are prepared for sexual intercourse.

Then their beauty starts to change (it almost never gets better, rarely they stay as beautiful, in most cases they start to become uglier)... I don't even mention their psyche which starts to "corrupt" at the approximately same time (maybe even sooner)... So I'd say most girls get perfect somewhere between 9 and 12 years of age... Too bad :(
