What are your favorite Western comics? I could go on and on, but my top five are Transmetropolitan, Planetary, Watchmen, The Invisibles, and Hellblazer.

Too many Anime threads...

Pretty much anything and everything by Alan Moore or Grant Morrison.
Watchmen
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
From Hell
Tom Strong
Top Ten
Killing Joke

Animal Man
The Invisisbles
Doom Patrol
Arkham asylum
The Filth (a fantastic, hilarious pisstake)

Also 2000AD, and some Frank Miller (in small doses).
I like early Cerebus, before it became nothing else but a vehicle for Dave's increasingly mysognistic worldview.

I've never been a fan of comics, so I'll just say Garfield.

XKCD kicks ass! Probably my favourite webcomic, along with White Ninja (http://www.whiteninjacomics.com/comics.shtml) and Beaver and Steve (http://www.beaverandsteve.com/).

On to physical comics and graphic novels, I think people have already mentioned most of my favourites.

From Hell
Watchmen
V For Vendetta
The Filth
Invisibles
The Sandman
1602
Blankets
Bone
Johnny The Homicidal Maniac
Squee!
Ronin
Ultimate X-Men
The Far Side
Calvin & Hobbes
Hellboy
Tom Strong
Swamp Thing
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Sin City
The Adventures of Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid On Earth
Batman: Year One
Arkham Asylum

So yeah, Moore rawks.

EDIT: Yeah, always gonna forget some....

Star Wars (Tales, Alternative Universe, Boba Fett series, etc.)
Tintin
Maus
Asterix

And many other staples.

Usagi Yojimbo
Les Tuniques Bleues
Konrad & Paul... anything by Ralph Koenig

Titeuf
Troll de Troy

Anything by Alan Moore, and occasionally stuf by Frank Miller. Aside from that, Slaine and Judge Dredd are always fun, and I have a certainly fondness for shitty crossovers, the favourite amongst these being "Predator vs. Tarzan 3: At The Earth's Core!" Classy stuff.:p

Alan Moore and Frank Miller are the best.

V for Vendetta,
Sin City,
Watchmen,
Batman: Year one,
Batman: the long Halloween,
Batman: the killing joke,
Palestine,
City of Glass,
Albion,
From Hell,
Hellboy,
The Far Side,
Calvin and Hobbes,
(Occasionally) Garfield,

And of, course, many more that I can't think of right now.

:sniper:

Alan Moore holds the world record for most Eisner comic awards won in a row. Eight times.

I always wanted to know what happened to halo jones.

The copyright dispute with marvelman/miricleman turned me off,
