Well, I've been through rolling blackouts, and gone a week without power before.

A week, in the middle of a record-setting heat wave.

I think I could stand a day with my computer, since I do on a regular basis...

Can you live without your computer for a day? They are shutting down the internets. http://shutdownday.org/

That was for the people who don't read past the first line and kneejerk post.

It's really just a participatory thing. I think one day is cake though. I'd say that they should try for two or more days or have it so that you dont use any electricity for a day (except for your fridge and whatever else I dont think of). Now that would be a challenge for me.

It's on a Saturday. I can do that. If it were on a weekday, I think I'd die.

And that's scary.

Jesus. Time to sell all my possessions and move to the bush.

I've signed up. I can go cold turkey for a day.

Wait...I've got dependency issues...oh god.

Yeah, I'd just spend the day playing GalCiv II and watching pr0n.

Edit: wait, shut down the computer? Not doing the 'net for a day, okay - but no 'puter? Egad, they've gone mad!

Why would I want to? I can't play Starcraft outside, after all.

Although I guess I could just play Playstation instead.

Oh, I can, but most of them are summer activities and that doesn't help too much when it's cold out or rainy. Now, I could read or something like that, maybe play a board game like Risk. That would be pretty fun.

Awesome. No traffic on March 27th. Playing WoW for 24 hours lag free.

This is a good time to use "OH EXPLOITABLE". Maybe the campus ethernet will work really well that day...
