Your Internet usage is causing significant problems in your life. You should evaluate the impact of the Internet on your life and address the problems directly caused by your Internet usage.

HA HA HA HA. Sure. "Causing significant problems in your life". Hell, internet SOLVES most of my "significant problems" in life.

41: You are an average on-line user. You may surf the Web a bit too long at times, but you have control over your usage.

Needless to say, I lied shamelessly.

This test is crap. I intentionally marked "Rarely" for every question, and got this:

Score: 20

You are an average on-line user. You may surf the Web a bit too long at times, but you have control over your usage.

Marking "Does Not Apply" for each gets a score of 0, but the same "analysis". But what else do you expect from a site designed to attract "internet addicts"?

You cannot be addicted to a place.

/agree.

And the test is totally slanted, every question a loaded one, no objective data assessment. Not a valid test.

Oh, and 27 (I was shocked how low)

im addicted to computers and the internet, but that is because i work on the net (administration, programming, etc)

but i also take time to spend with my cousins. every saturday, sometimes i stay over for parties or to go out

and i also often go to work outside my house, so im not that addicted always. just often i guess... at least better to work than to spend time playing games:mp5:

I didn't like the test because it used "Always" as an option, and I don't tend to think in absolutes.......

True, but, then, the Internet isn't actually a location. Using it, however, is an activity that can be viewed as addicted in the same sense that "Gambling" and other non-chemical related activities are.

Yesh, well, I disagree with calling gambling "addictive." It may be a habit, but calling habits "addictive" delutes the impact of the word from its physiological meaning.

33. That's about right, although some of the questions were impossible to answer in a way that wasn't "addicted".

Even so, it's a little unrealistic; like it or not, the internet is serving a role far greater than it did five years ago, and it's only going to become more so as the technology advances further and All aspects of our social, professional, and educational life interact with the internet in one way or another.

You are experiencing occasional or frequent problems because of the Internet. You should consider their full impact on your life.
