You could use the windows on-screen keyboard.

don't use it for a day or something and let it dry out, i don't think there is much more you can do.

this reminds me of a maddox article btw.

Agreed. if that doesn't work, you'll need to get it repaired.

Toshiba is absurdly nice about fixing broken computers, even when it's clearly your (by which mean The User's) fault. Just send it in and they'll get it back to you fairly quick, good as new.

Put it somewhere nice and warm for a couple of days, and hope it dries out...

Otherwise, as Deus Malum said. If it's not in warranty, you have to take it apart and dry it yourself (or get your local geek to do it).

In the symbols thing there is an empty box which you could use as a space bar. It's set at default as alt-3 digit code that I can't remember. But you might be able to alter that to a single key to use as a space bar.

BS, my dad sent a Toshiba laptop in that was caught in a loop and there was a key that broke off and they sent it back saying we abused it. :upyours: (at Toshiba)

I've taken apart many a external keyboard before due to drinks being spilled. I've even rescued a keyboard from the dreaded Coca Cola.

If you've spilt anything other than water on the keyboard then you need to wash the internal parts of the keyboard with warm water and a sponge. If you only spilt water then you still need to take the keyboard apart so that is can dry properly. Otherwise miniscule layers of water can remain within the thin pieces of plastic that have the circuits printed on them that are inside the keyboard for ages and prevent the keyboard from working properly.

I don't know how to take a laptop keyboard to pieces, but I know it can be done.
