Today is Purim. On this day we remember the story of a man named Haman who tried to murder the Jews of Persia. Today there is a looming crisis as a new Iranian leader seeks to do what Haman did.

It appears the writers at the Jerusalem Post have come up with a solution for the Iranian crisis.

I've always said that GMs would make great Diplomats. Unfortunately I think the Jews get the shaft here. After all, almost half of the Jews in the US are from New York and they get the short end of this one. I always though Isiah Thomas was a crappy GM.:D

The State Department should've brought in Kenny Williams from the White Sox to do the talks. He would've made this trade by giving up Gio Gonzalez and a PTBNL.

I just don't like him for three very legitimate reasons.

He played at IU (I go to Purdue and am required to hate everything Hoosier)
He played for the Pistons and I'm a Bulls fan
He coached the Pistons

Talking shit is a descriptor that fit Thomas during his playing days. Part of the reason I disliked him.

Every player talks shit--it's the psychological side of the game. And if you can't ignore it and produce, then you deserve to lose.

There is a double standard here. All sports fans have it. When a player on a rival team talks shit about your team, you dislike the player. When you're player does it, you shout "YEAH!" I admit I'm the same way. It's part of the fun of being a fan.
