I like the cavemen.
Anyway, it could be worse. In the movie Idiocracy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiocracy) the characters awaken in a future where a movie called "ass" or something, which is just 90 minutes of someone's bare ass on screen, is the most popular movie ever.
If you can have shows about aliens living among people why not cavemen living among modern humans?
pah. thats fox news, which is not a reliable source. why should I believe it?
because it's also network television... and not even Fox could make up a story like this...

That is just sick. Well, sick coms suck anyway.
TV produces so much crap you have to dig real deap to find something worth.
It's nothing new really. After all, they've made at least one movie based on a comercial previously...
Johnny English (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0274166/)
The Johnny English character is based on a cowardly, incompetent spy played by Rowan Atkinson. The character first appeared in a series of television commercials for Barclaycard with his assistant, Bough (played by Henry Naylor).

Anyway, I like the cavemen, I think they do a good job with them. Why should there be boundaries about where an idea comes from? If they think they can make a series out of something what difference does it make where the idea comes from?

Hm, well, between the reality shows and the lack of creativity, except for the occasional cable gem, there's not much to watch that isn't mindnumbingly stupid.
How much Fear Factor/The Great Race/Survivor/Big Brother/American Idol/So You Think You Can dance/Dancing with the Stars/You're the One that I Want/afternoon talk shows can one person really watch?

Forget that: Transformers, GI Joe, My Little Pony, TNMT, and the Gummi Bears were all cartoons made just to sell the toys/candy (which all came out first).
And don't forget all the movies made out of video games (The Mario Bros., Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Doom, Mordull Kombat ;), et cetera, ad nauseum. And the remakes (The Dukes of Hazzard, Car 54 Where are You, The Flintstones, The Beverly Hillbillies, etc.).

It's funny that people think that Fox News is "not a reliable source" because most of what they put on is at least as reliable as the New York Times (at least from the news desk, and not from their pundits, who are not newscasters).
Do you have a Jayson Blair story you can tell me about Fox? (that was the NYT)
Do you have an Eason Jordan story you can tell me about Fox? (that was CNN)
And any rational person knows that O'Reilly and such are not reading the news.

I hadn't seen this.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was an independent comic book by Eastman and Laird long before it was a toy or a cartoon.
And of course none of these things where created, and nothing shall be interpreted in more than one medium lest the whole medium be condemned as uncreative.
Which screws opera and Shakespeare, but whatever. Such things are small casualties on the easy road to sophistication.

Well, yes. That's true. Whenever I read a story in the NY Times. I don't know if it was written by a conservative, or a liberal. I don't know if it was an honest attempt at journalism or a fraud. Even if I know it's a fraud I don't know if it's fiction by someone trying to pad his resume, or a politically motivated liar.
If I watch FOX I know exactly what I'm getting. Politically motivated slander and half-truths. Never need I ever fear that I am receiving the unvarnished truth or the whole picture. It's like a clock that's 12 hours off. It's always completely wrong, but in such a way that I can figure out what right really is.

What about if they made the "Im a PC" "Im a Mac" adverts into a sitcom? Or the Cillit Bang adverts? Could be worse.
The Mac-PC one would probably win the world's most pretentious show of the year award.
