so, I paid a bill that I thought I had already paid years ago, but I figured, "hey, whatever, I might not have paid it and I don't have proof" so I paid it again......and you know what? I got a check in the mail today.... I did pay it! So, now I have a spiffy check for $770 :D

and.......big news!

there is a moving van parked in front of my neighbor's house......I found out that they are moving to Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and, and, and......my kids are going out tonight, so I get to go do whatever I want, which means with $770 I am going SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!

so, how was your day?

Not altogether terrible. I drove a coworker to the airport so that was pretty much my work day. I got a scope for my rifle in the mail that's been backordered since last August :) but I have drill this weekend so have to wait to zero it in :(

I did find out that I owe less on my mortgage (which will be paid off w/i two months) than I thought. Yay.

Quiet. I had the day off today and had the house to myself, so I mostly listened to music and played video games.
How very productive. I should really get some work done at some stage during the weekend.

I helped set up my flatmate’s new PC, set up a network for my flat, and watched a couple of eps of both Twin Peaks and Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

Now I’m off to dungeon crawl with some mates, a good couple of deeps of Warhammer Quest.

All in all, a delightfully geeky and lazy day.

my day was interesting. i decided i'm going to live on a houseboat, and i went for a walk until i got tired which took me right across the city and i found some awesome places i never even knew existed. most days i sit at my computer procrastinating, today i took my procrastination outside and had much more fun with it :D. and i made myself a yummy dinner from scratch, which is great because i've barely eaten anything properly in weeks cuz i couldn't be bothered. been living on cereal, toast, coffee, cigars and the occaisional vitamin pill. today was the best day since before new years in fact :)

wish i had $770 for shopping though! :p

Glad to hear it Smunkee. :)

As for me, a coworker had brought his kids into the office because they have a school break or something and they were loud and screamy. Ugh. Still, they are still slightly less annoying than my coworkers. :p

ANd tomorrow the boss asked me to work for six hours with him on a project for a client so that blows but at least I get overtime. Plus that overtime is more than usual since I just got a raise.

Highly needed right now - doctor bills are killing us.

I woke up this morning to discover that I was alive, all of my organs were intact, and I had no major neurological damage. In addition, I swiftly realised that clothing and food were within my immediate vicinity, and I was under a sheltering roof to protect me from the driving rain outside. Not to mention I have access to the knowledge of humanity at my fingertips, access to funds, and access to education (at least within the next couple of years). In addition, I have between 63 and 103 years of life left to waste.

Sometimes, one has to take note of the little things.

Also, I never understood the big attraction of going shopping. What's so special about spending money on things you likely won't use much just for the sake of spending money? (Unless you're shopping for basic necessities, such as food or Star Trek DVD sets.)

funny you mention it, we are going out to dinner tonight at my fav. restaurant, and we are buying TNG on DVD because we don't have that series yet.

the rest? I am buying some new clothes, I keep losing weight and now my clothes are frumpy.

Today, I woke up painfully early to do some last second studying before my German midterm, only to get to class and discover that German was cancelled. Then I fucked about for a bit before going to my second class today, and finding out that that class was cancelled as well.
I already knew my third class was going to be cancelled from earlier this week, so I didn't waste time on that. A couple hours ago, I tried to go to work, but, because of a power outage, that was closed.

So now I'm sitting here and coming to the sad realization that I would be much better off had I simply gone with my initial desire this morning and not gotten out of bed today.
Goddammit.

Well we each have different insurances. She has an HMO thru her work which is craptacular, but it's something at least.

She is still working part time though which helps but that means less money coming in on top of more bills.

I'm beginning to wonder if I should call our mortgage lender and see if we can get one payment off, in hoping gthat there is some sort of emergency clause or something.

It's cold today, and windy. Too cold even for me, and I like cold weather. So I'm happily ensconced in front of my wood-burning stove, all warm and toasty with a cup of tea and a good book, watching a Magnum, P.I. rerun. Life is good.

And, Smunkee, I'm glad your neighbors are leaving. I know they've made your life difficult. May your new neighbors be good ones.

friday was very good but the last week (from thursday untill now actually) was extremely awesome. i went to 4 parties, tonight i'm going to my 5th in 10 days, and two of those parties were amongst the best i've been to in recent days. friday (not yesterday) we went to one of the best clubs in the area. and monday i went to a gig by explosions in the sky wich was also very very cool. (i think i've spend more than 150 € on going out :-S). i also felt very good because people gave me some nice compliments about my dancing skills and other stuff, wich boosts my self confidence.
thursday i received my grades for the first semester of my first year in uni, and i passed every exam, wich means i won't have to redo any during the holliday, wich means i'll have 3 months full of lazyness :D . (except if i fail for the second semester, but meh). i thought that i was going to have to redo 4 of them, so i'm quite ecstatic.
so yeah i'm feeling quite happy at the moment, good luck with the new neighbors btw.

10% from my check, I am pretty sure I already tithed on it, because I had the money before, you know when I paid the bill the first time, and when I paid it the second time, but it's really important to me not to go around being stingy.
