look, i nkow where you're coming from. ip'm a physicist (to an extent) myself and i think that science currently supports evolution as the reason why we're here having this conversation. however, science itself can be seen as a matter of faith (not the logical, methodical aspects of science, but faith in the veracity of the experiment, faith in the results, etc.) and so the two aren't that dissimilar. and I also think I shoulnd't dictate what other people can and can't believe, no matter how much i feel its wrng for them to do so.

But having faith in the results of experiments is reasonable, given the track record of success it's not illogical to distrust those results. Religions don't have any verifiable results that lead to practical consequences we can observe, so they're a matter of real faith.
