How fast can you run a mile?

IDF

What's your mile time?

I average around 6 minutes 40 seconds. Of course that slows down on distance runs. My morning 3 mile run came in at just under 23 minutes so I was between 7 and 8 minutes per mile.

I don't know. My sprinting is relatively good, so my focus has been on endurance and cross-country. I don't measure myself based on distance and speed, but solely by time.

I ran a half-mile in 7:45 back when I was nine years old... I assume I could run a full mule in about that time now, as I have a lot of stamina and leg strength. I also know how to pace myself much better than I did in those days.

Of course, I probably won't ever attempt a mile run again... A timed one, anyway.

You'd probably be faster running a mile on a track since you wouldn't be pacing yourself and saving your energy as you would be during a 10k

I haven't been timed for just a mile in like 4 years, and I think my time then was 7:20 or something. Last year my first mile split in a cross country race was 6:30, but the first mile had a lot of downhill. Mile PR: 4:58

(Albeit that was on an indoor track, right after cross country season, and when I was averaging about 40 miles a week. Now it's MUCH less. Like less than 5. Maybe 7.)

Mile average: 5:45-6:00. (depends on the temp and what I ate beforehand.)

5k PR: 17:45 (average last year, 18:30)

1.5 mile: 8:56 (average 9:00)

I ran a 1500 in 4:50 in track, but not quite a mile and again, in season.

Now I only run when ROTC forces me too...at 6 AM (whoops, I mean 0600--oh dark thirty, the buttcrack of dawn). Gack.
