Just because the word "Christian" is in the name of the article doesn't mean that is has much to do with religion, it even disses some Christians sometimes. It is filled with mainly unbiased stuff. What you've posted is irrelevant.

I can think of a lot of reasons to dislike the media, but I wouldn't say too violent is one of them... and they listed a bunch of excellent movies that they thought were too violent (I didn't actually see any of them except Pan's Labyrinth, but I've heard the rest were good.)

Any expectation that an organization called the "christian science monitor" is without its own bias is just stupid.

Despide how they "diss" "some" christians "some" of the time.

Its equally as stupid to say that if its Christian its automatically bad. Thats like saying that if something has the word "German" in it its automatically nazi!

Violence in TV, the movies or video games is just fine by me. My main beef with "the media" is US American news. Gah, it's pathetic in to omany ways to list.

Some publishers, writers, ect, are all different people with different opinions so the amount of bias in their work varies.

Babel sucked because it wasn't nearly violent enough. Or maybe it sucked because it was a rambling incoherent mess. Or maybe it sucked because the individual stories were bland, clichéd and uncompelling, a fact that the director tried to conceal by mixing them into each other so much that they were also confusing and long.
I don't have anything else to add to this thread, except that Babel was the single vilest movie I've ever seen.

I highly recommend it, but its not for the queasy. You've probably heard some of the stuff already, so I won't reiterate, it definetly has some moments that'll have the toughest stomachs covering their eyes.
