Remember Strom Thurmond? He's the dead South Carolina senator who opposed desegregation and had a child by a black woman despite his early racist political agenda. Anyway, it seems his family owned Al Sharpton's family. Rev. Al Sharpton is a former presidential hopeful who is known for black activism, and some would argue, racebaiting. It strikes me as weird that these two nationally known political personalities on direct opposite sides of the political spectrum, without their knowledge, were linked together by slavery generations in the past.
