I'm a genius at making simple things complicated

I really do need a hobby other than NSG, science and mathematics. I've just spent three-quarters of an hour making the equation n^x - n^x-y very complicated.
The equation went like this:
n^x - n^x-y =
___________________ This line overlies a single iteration
(n^(x-1) - n^(x-2))*x + (n^(x-2) - n^(x-3))*x +...
with y iterations.

Try it. I haven't tested it with negative or non-integer numbers yet, but I have tested it with other values and it appears to work.

Now I just need to make a really complex equation involving i.
That was a rather poor mathematics joke for those who aren't mathematicians.

I'm planning on changing the equation to work with adding values of n rather than just subtracting; I'll post it soon.

The purpose of this topic? Virtually non-existent. However, if you fancy a long and complicated equation in place of a simple one, I'll take requests.

I never said I was of any use at all. :D
I can simplify some things... I just prefer things to be complicated. It makes it easier to blame other people when things go wrong.

The first simple equation that comes to mind is y = mx + c

Have fun.

You want me to complicise (new word alert) it?
Yes?
You want fries with that?

Get a job and try to find ways to make is easier and more effective.

That gets you money and promotions, no matter where you work.

I like you, Ilaer. You have a the same outlook on life that I do. I also support coining new words. :)

Um... Thanks!
But do you have the authority to coin new words? Check my sig. ;)

Edit: Yay! Looking at my post number and counting as a computer does (using 0 as effectively 1) I have 2^8 posts! And this was it!
Now I just need one more post and I'll have a real 2^8 post value...

Wait!! I know you!

You work for Microsoft!!

Tell Bill Gates I'm looking forward to his Windows 666.

Did I mention '?'?
Or were you talking to someone else?

Windows is evil. We should all convert to Unix (and we should all have supercomputers too).
I use Windows XP nonetheless. Never got around to installing Ubuntu Linux.

I'm through with school so I don't want to even think about math equations ever again. So I will pretend that I was never here.

I got about halfway through the OP before my brain went, "Oh shi- math!" and shut down.
I was going to write a witty response, but its difficult to remember how to spell correctly at this point.
Please call back later.

No...
No its not. It makes my brain hurt.
Please, give me a seven page essay, I can do that in an hour or two. Make me memorize the names of the Kings of Spain, I already know half of them. Quiz me on the culture of the Na and how their crazed matrilineal system works, its actually interesting.
Just keep your damned numbers away from me >_>

Give me a seven page essay on... Fermat's Last Theorem! And prove it!
(The proof I've heard of is over two hundred pages long and very complicated. Have fun.)

Here's something from Geometry, a classic too.

a2 + b2 = c2

Good luck with that.

Should be a^2 + b^2 = c^2.
It's Pythagoras' Theorem!

If you are such a genious, solve this:

if f(x)=X/(8X^(2/y^2)-X^Y^X^Y)^Y

whats f''(X) (dy^2/d^2X)
