If there was a nation filled with nothing but nerds (all kinds, the geeky kind, the kind obsessed with sci-fi and video games, and the smart genius kind) in real life how would it have effected history and would they go to war against America for being anti-intellectualistic?

America is anti-intellectualistic?

I'd say the population would collapse within a generation. :p

The girls would be geeks too though, right? Or are you saying that purely on the basis of the geek's shyness around the opposite sex?

Geeks aren't very warlike, but then, maybe if they had superweapons or a robot army...

Why do you say that? If I had a wife as nerdy as myself we'd amalgamate as many gametes as possible to create many sentient beings. :p Then I'd teach them all about StarCraft.

The social structure would be loose at best, with the gamers at the bottom and the geniuses on top. They would not war for any reason and would spend all their money on research, vitals, and technology. This society, though a technological paradise, would have deplorable health standards, and immigrants as laborers.

Well, TOS would never have been cancelled after only a couple of seasons. We'd be following Kirk for many many additional years then what we actually got.

More the latter than the former. It goes both ways, of course...

Yeah, the girl geeks would be shy too, if that's what you mean. Hence the gender-neutral nature of my post. :)

Healthcare would be free and of excellent quality as the average IQ of doctors skyrockets and medical research advances at an astonishing rate. Colleges would be affordable and more forgiving of poor grades, and classes would be taught to different learning styles. Spelling, unfortunately, would become destandardized, although a few in intellectual circles would keep the faith alive.

Global warming would instantly cease to become an issue as everyone would build hobby-kit solar panels to generate all their (considerable) electricity needs.

Science would be taught properly and would be fun. Art classes would focus on comic books and the covers of fantasy novels. Literature would examine the depth, vision, and sociological metaphor of science fiction.

Mountain Dew would become the world's largest corporation, closely followed by Sony, eBay, and the publishers of EGM.

The military would be abandoned in favor of intensive cyberintelligence, economic leverage based on e-commerce, and determination of winners and losers through skill at Halo or DnD, as well as the threat of having to face down a few million ridiculously accurate snipers commanded by generals who can beat Starcraft in one day.

Myspace would be returned to the bands, since the entire population has their own real website, and the industry standard would change from Windows to Linux. The government would be open-source based on the principles of the internet; a sort of enlightened anarchy.

And, no, the population wouldn't drop. In fact, it would increase uncontrollably since all the geeks, no longer being afraid of being ostracized for social embarrassments (everyone's in the same boat, remember...) would finally have the guts to talk to members of, you know, the opposite gender...

Sounds good. Except for Nintendo losing out to Sony.
