Remember the Jerry Springer Opera?

Well here is a off spin. Now I'm not a Opera fan (besides the browser) but I suspect I might well enjoy this...

Loved Jerry Springer - The Opera?

Kombat Opera Presents is a riotous new series of musical comedies inspired by top TV shows. The five episodes take on The Apprentice, Question Time, The South Bank Show, Panorama and Wife Swap giving them all a supercharged operatic twist. An all-singing, all-dancing Alan Sugar?

And here I was worried someone was actually lifeless enough to make an opera of Mortal Kombat.

Whew.

Anyways, with the current crop of "Reality Shows" Kombat Opera is going to have plenty of material for a long, loooong time.

Not even the furore?
After checking wikipedia, it seems it is a British Thing, which would explain why I never heard of the controversy.
I did, however, enjoy this part of the summary:
"A sumptuous closing number of 33 dancing Springers then makes the show's opaque doctrine of moral relativism more acceptable to theatre audiences."
Is there anything that a "sumptuous closing number of 33 dancing Springers" can't make acceptable? It might even have worked for the Holocaust, if Hitler hadn't been so determined to destroy all possible Springer look-a-likes.

Springertime for Hitler and Germany...

I cannot believe I typed that...

I thought you resided in the UK hence did not give a reference. Apologies...

Meh, I'm still partial to Wagner, myself, at least when he isn't going on a Mel Gibson-style rant.
