Roger Waters, Dark Side of the Moon!

Yes, that's right, Roger Waters is on tour (http://orders.tickettriangle.com/ResultsGeneral.aspx?stype=2&kwds=Roger%20Waters)! No doubt, tickets will be over $100, and the hype immense...and generally I avoid such things...but...but....this is ROGER WATERS! And we're talking about the DARK SIDE OF THE MOON!

Ok, come one, come all...bitch about the feud between Waters and Gilmore...because I know some people will refuse to go to the concert on that principle, and some who will go for exactly the same reason.

Will you go if there is a stop close to you? Why, why not?

Edit: the first link was to last year's tour...this one is updated. And tickets are over $200 for the Edmonton concert if you don't want to sit in the nosebleeds! I think I take it back about going, and choose the last poll option instead:(

So long as he brings the flying pig, and he covers "Angie" like i'd heard he was gonna.

I was so damn high, that I really don't remember much except that it was AWESOME, and I got to make out with a hot skater boy I'd been too chicken to admit to liking. Yeah, I said skater boy. Suck it.
*cue Avril Lavigne*
Whoa ... double booking, Waters & Lavigne ...

I got scalped tickets at a ridiculous price when Pink Floyd came through town oh so long ago...I was so damn high, that I really don't remember much except that it was AWESOME, and I got to make out with a hot skater boy I'd been too chicken to admit to liking. Yeah, I said skater boy. Suck it.

I doubt I'd get that blasted for this concert...but I'm considering it.

I already saw him at the Tweeter center in lovely Camden, NJ. Great first set and beginning of the second set. Didn't see most of the second set though. Some of my friends, high on shrooms and weed, were talking about leaving early and going to a titty bar. One of them took the idle chat seriously and left to go back to the truck. When we finally figured out what had happened to him we decided not to leave his stoned ass alone in the parking lot in Camden at night. Yeah, we ended up leaving early.

Yeah, the first set is supposed to be a variety of songs...and the flying pigs...OH GOD...when they came out at the Pink Floyd concert, all I saw at first were pig-shaped shadows on the crowd, and it freaked me the hell out...when I finally saw the pigs themselves? I think my brain exploded.

Well, it'd be worth it for The Gunner's Dream, Southhampton Dock, What God Wants, and The Final Cut.
And i expect they'll also use dogs for imagery.

I'd go see him if I was on the right continent. :(

Hmm, hold on - October?! Los Angeles?!
Anyone know how I can get from San Diego to LA cheaply? *plots*

Were you upset? And did you indeed go to a titty bar?

Hold it. You like Pink Floyd, but you hate Rush? What the hell is up with that?

I need answers.

I never said it was based in logic.

And I DETEST, LOATHE and ABHOR Rush.

Hate just isn't descriptive enough.

Is it because of that liner note proclaiming the genius of Ayn Rand? :D

Yeah, I hate that. And i'll bet half of those tickets went to scalpers and will be sold for double the normal price. I was lucky enough to get my ticket on presale. (my reward for spending too much of my money on concerts, heh...but it was worth it :P)

If I could ever stand a chance of getting tickets to a Clapton concert, I'd drag my dad along. Besides the fact that he'd pay for the tickets and beer, he's a dedicated Clapton fan.

Pfff. After admitting he liked the Scissor Sisters we can discount his opinion on music out of hand.

EDIT: Oh, and nose bleed doesn't bother me since Pink Floyd is more about spectacle rather than actually having to see Waters with my own eyes. So I'm totally going no matter how shitty my seats are.

I think they were $500 for the goodish seats when he was here on the 27th and 29th of January.
Do i regrt not going to either concert?

I think it's fairly common to like Pink Floyd and hate Rush. Rush are goons.

Warning: Roger has been known to play songs from his solo career on these tours...

He did play a few, including one pretty preaching new one that includes the line "Oh George! Oh George! That Texas education must have fucked you up when you were very small!" I have read some reviews by Americans who went that there was some booing and some didn't like it in general because it was anti-war and anti-bush, that song and his other preachy bits all got enthusiastic applause.
