Checkers, a burger chain, has recently been warned that their current promotion may violate animal cruelty laws. They're giving out bags with cutouts for a cat's legs, tail, and head with instructions to put your cat in it. The weird thing is that Checkers claims that customers have been clamoring for such merchandise. There must be a lot of burger eaters with cats and too much time on their hands.

Anyone who claims this is animal cruelty has never owned a cat.
In addition, trying to put an unwilling cat into anything would be animal cruelty - cats are fucking dangerous when trying to make them do stuff they don't want to do, my cat's front claws are removed and I'm lucky to get out of that shit alive.

'Declawing' a cat comes under the heading of animal cruelty in my book. There is currently legislation being seriously considered in Westminster to make it illegal for other than medical reasons. It ain't just removal of claws, but rather removal of an entire bone from each toe. How would you like it if the ends of your fingers and toes were surgically removed back to the final joint?
Getting a cat to do something it doesn't want to is a hazardous endeavor. My cat has all her claws and is not at all shy about using them.

you know what I used to like to do to my cat? put tape on his feet, he would walk around trying to shake it off, but it wouldn't come off, it was so funny......:D

My game with my cat is to put light things on her head when she is sitting up and see how long it is before she notices. That and seeing how long she can chew my fingertips without drawing blood when they smell of catmint. The aforementioned 'put a bit of tape on the cat' is fun too. Underneath all that fur they are basically still lizards.

I don't do this intentionally, but whenever my cat tries to put her weight on a single sheet of paper forming a bridge between two pieces of furniture is always entertaining. File under 'tiger trap'.
