Admittedly, we've got these bizarre cultural phenomena that are derived from the era of isolationism (which is of itself an effect of the distance between the US and any big neighbors), but still, stupidity is to be expected everywhere.

Go anywhere and you can find stupid people.
I will give you a hint though – people who answer all the questions correctly don’t make for amusing television. You interview a lot of people and show the most amusing comments.
I could go walking around London, Berlin, Tokyo, Tehran, Sydney, New York, Cape town, Auckland, Singapore, or Beirut and get the same sort of ignorant responses. Americans are no better or worse than anyone else.
