Lol. Britain is planning to pullout up to 5,000 troops soon. Bush says this is a sign that American forces are succeeding in Iraq. So when we finally pullout is this what we're gonna call it?

Interpretation? The British have been successful in handing over affairs to the local Iraqis so can pull their troops out. Bush is increasing the level of US troops, so what does that say about US actions in Iraq? Is Bush admitting failure?

Fuck me, is Bush really this dense? We are doing a (relatively) half decent job handing over control to Iraq and can leave. How the fucking hell can he claim success on the back of British soldiers, and what does that say about his surge?

I say we set Stephen Colbert on him at his next press conference.

Yes, we're so successful the Brits are hauling ass before Prince Harry would of been deployed to that death trap.

Yeah...its been a mixed bag...there have been successes and failures. However Basra ain't no Baghdad...I wonder how bad things would have been had we been tasked to deal with Baghdad...

Not quite 5000....they are going to reduce from the current 7100 to 5000....

Sounds like Bush is attempting some damage control. What else can he say but that things are improving in Iraq and thats why the British troops are leaving? Better then the alternatives. Like the truth.

I've said it before, but I think Bush should go to Baghdad and pledge to remain there until the battle for democracy in Iraq is won. They could build him a secure place inside the Green Zone, and with modern communications, he could take care of domestic business very easily. Think of the morale boost that would be.

so let's follow the lead and pull our troops out too. Ha, we can be more successful than you Brits as we'll pull 50,000 and that's 10 times you. He's a douche.

Nero wasnt in Rome and the fiddle hadnt been invented, but thats irrelevant, were doing ok, except for a few problems with Moqtadr-al-Sadr (sp) but hes run off to iran now so thats ok

dont know how Bush can claim this as a success for him though?

Luckily he isn't actually ruling in Baghdad, he would be more like Al-Musta'sim, continuing to party while the Mongol hordes were outside the city gates.

1. Would've. Not "would of".
2. Prince Harry is still being deployed. (http://www.lemonde.fr/web/depeches/0,14-0,39-29866115@7-37,0.html)
