Clocky, the alarm clock that runs away and hides to get you out of bed.

I need this and it is so cute, but I would also hate it and it is expensive. Honestly, I cannot resolve my feelings towards this device.

It is a machination of purest evil and must be annihilated.
Just as motivating are the clocks which play REALLY SODDING ANNOYING noises. Like one I saw which plays tunes at you - seemingly constantly pressing the pitch-bender - and then says "good morning" in a muffled shout when you turn it off.
Simpler is better with these things.

This looks like a good idea for people like me...
Conventional alarms never worked for me.

I agree, the more obnoxious or stealthy an alarm clock, the better for me. What good is a pleasant alarm clock? And yeah, this thing is cute.

Who needs this? Just put your alarm clock in such a place where you need to get up out of bed to turn the damn thing off. Anyway, I'm a very light sleeper and I'm usually up before the clock even when I'm hung over and tired from the night before.
Maybe we should just give them lasers. Nothing would wake you up faster than a laser shot that comes close enough to singe your hair.

Makes me think of a Dilbert episode ...
Seven of Nine Alarm Clock: Get out of bed. Resistance is futile. Wake up and assimilate the day.
[as Dilbert reaches over to hit the snooze button] Don't touch me!
Dilbert: Then how do I turn you off?
Seven of Nine alarm clock: I am PLENTY turned off right now!
Dilbert: Clocktease.

My regular alarm will wake me up only if I set it at max volume on the other side of the room. If it's within arm's reach I'll shut it off without actually waking up.

That didn't seem as useful to me, but maybe it's because I don't carry laptops around too much. Do they only have the two products? I am interested to see what they come up with next.

I wouldn't mind one of those myself. I have one like this (http://www.imi.cz/zbozi/obrazky_eso%5CGiving2005%5C4782.32%2035%203d%20classic%20alarm%20clock.jpg)at the minute, but it's cheap crappy and loses 20 minutes a day. Noisy as hell though. If I need to get up really on time, I'll have my watch, phone on a pile of loose change (=noisy) alarm clock and cd player with some RATM in. This combination will raise the dead...
