Far out, my first major time warpage.

For everyone "420 friendly" in the audience. What do you prefer when you light up? Bowls, Blunts, Joints, Vaporizers, or Bongs?

Ah... I've heard good things about BC from friends who've been up there. Anywhere you can get hash regurarly must not be that bad. ;) I only get to smoke it if I make it myself (which is a very rare occurance).

If you're a fan of Gravity Bongs this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRfzq4Upwys) might interest you. I built one a week ago and it worked a hell of alot better than a standard gravity bong.

Seconded, but I prefer a pipe. Possibily a wooden, slightly curved one. One for smoking maria leaves, one for smoking english tobacco. Although I'm quite addicted to tobacco cigarettes :(

If you have a spare lightbulb you have the equipment. A popular way to smoke crack and ice on the cheap, they can also be used to vaporize weed. Google for a lightbulb vaporizer. You'll find instructions on making one and instructions on how to smoke out of it once its made.

I think I smoked weed in all ways there are, but nothing beats a good joint. Its the taste, and the rather comfortable speed of inhaling, and the style that appeals me most.
Maybe the others kick harder, but a joint is still the supreme way of smoking weed imo.

Started out smoking home-made bongs, but now I pretty much exclusively smoke joints. For a spanking good joint, I use OCB skins, rolled diagonally with the roach already in at the right-hand side.

Bootiful.

Though weed etiquette where I’m from is a bit more laid back than other places; none of this toke-toke-pass nonsense.

The Mercedes Benz of the smoking world is The Volcano Vaporizer. It has simply completly changed the way i smoke forever. The steam goes 100% into a bag so no smoke fills the room so the device is odor free. Its also extremely efficient and since you capture ALL the steam and is almost 100% waste free.
The steam is cool to the touch and is almost all water vapor and Thc, it doesnt burn so your not inhaling toxic plant materials due to combustion at all. Inhaling regular smoke now feels like a burning acid in my lungs. No more horrible hacking and coughing on a big hit. My lungs were saved by this miracle device. We have a winner. The only downside is it runs $525 but will save you money in the not so long run.

Joints...I get a different high with bongs that lasts longer but isn't as pleasant. Plus you can get away with smoking j's almost anywhere, bongs are a little more difficult. Joints are better to share, too.

As a serious asthmatic, that sounds like heaven itself. Especially seeinga as cannabinoids are a serious contender for asthma medications as is. Were that I lived in a place thast condemned smoking tobacco and promoted non-smoking cannabis usage, instead of a place where the government promotes the former and punishes the latter harshly... :(

I normally vaporize as it is the healthiest and tastiest way to smoke budz.

I have a grinder with a keefbox (keef, keif or kif is essentially hash before it's been pressed) too so I smoke that either in a pipe or I press it and smoke it like hash on a blade


I also enjoy a joint every now and then while on the long road trips or at a park.

Zombong. A bong that's been broken in several different places several different times, and repaired using a variety of methods. Also, the stem keeps breaking off (really, the glue just isn't holding...), so occasionally the bong is transformed into World's Largest Pipe.

i've only ever had joints and bongs. i'm not sure which i prefer. joints give a 'warmer' high to me, but bongs are cleaner (although i always used a metal gauze which gave it a nasty metalic taste, i'm told i shouldn't use a gauze). i never seemed to get that high off bongs, dunno what i was doing wrong.

actually, don't really know what a 'bowl' is. anyone care to enlighten me? and i always assumed a blunt was a short fat joint perhaps with a reusable (ceramic or something) roach. dunno if that's anything approaching the truth though.

also, it's interesting to me how much people seem to like hash. what i can get here i absolute shite and it's always cut with loads of impurities. if there's green or resin on offer i'd always go for the green. the only time i've had good hash was in amsterdam where it was hyper-strong and made me puke.

a blunt is a joint but usually rolled in a hollowed out cigar - but they have blunt wrappers for sell individulaly now

My hometown is a desert for green, smoking ‘soapy’ (really low quality hash) is the high point of smoking. Luckily, big city life is much more conducive to a stoner like myself. Haven’t smoked low quality solid in well over two years. It's green all the way for me!

Wherever you go in the world, there’s always someone smoking pot. And usually someone selling it too.

Oh, and blunt, to me, is a cigar unrolled, packed with weed, then re-rolled again. Though I believe a blunt in the US just refers to a particularly potent joint, e.g. Jay in the Kevin Smith movies, “it was the fat chronic blunt”.

I used to prefer joints, definitely... something almost ...right... about rolling up a joint before you smoke it - especially after seeing they way they do it in germany - their joints are works of art.

Pipes seem almost sacreligious in a way - too easy or something. I don't smoke much weed anymore... now I prefer shisha. Are there any other shisha smokers here? I don't know why it's not more popular.

I have a few theories on why it's not more popular (though it is surprisingly popular among 18-22 year old douchebags...I don't know why and I'm not making any implications about the quoted poster). In my mind, at least, shisha carries some of the health risks of cigarettes, and the cost, without being either addictive or really even giving you a buzz (well, it doesn't really give me a buzz, but neither do cigarettes, to any significant degree)...I never saw the point. If it isn't putting you in an altered state of mind, and it isn't habit-forming, why would anyone do it more than once or twice?

It’s relaxing and very sociable; a nice cup of tea and a shisha go down very nicely.

Pipe, joint or bong.

Pipe if it's just for me, because the pipe I have has a rather deep bowl and it can take some time to get it going at first, then if it starts to go out, to get it relit.

Joint for a large group of people, because it's the easiest to share.

Bong for when it's just a few of us. Though my last one broke and I'm now reduced to using an old 7-Up bottle and some old biros.

I picked up the habit in Germany - at first I thought the same way and didn't really see the point, but trying it there got me hooked (psychologically anyways). There's just nothing more relaxing than smoking a delicious bowl of shisha with your friends, blowing smoke rings, experimenting with different flavours, etc. But seriously, have you ever smelled a bag of the raw shisha? it smells so bloody good you just want to eat it. And if you set it up right, it tastes almost as good as it smells, that is to say, orgasmic.

I seem to have moved past weed for the most part, caused by no conscious decision. I just... stopped smoking it. I guess that's what everyone does eventually, but mushrooms are a far far better drug than weed ever was, and they're legal most places too!

I love most all ways of smoking. Vaporizers are nice, they help me conserve, but I don't have the money for a good one, and my lighbulb broke. Blunts are great when I'm hanging out with firends, and joints are the same. I'll smoke a bowl, and I love a good bong. Recently, however, I hve been using a "waterfall" style gravity bong. Its awesome. The size of the bottle is great, so the hit is fat, but not overwhelming.

Hehe, I remember a camping trip back in the days when I experienced the herb for the first time - and it was through one of those things... We almost got busted by a teacher and the guy who's turn it was before me burned the inside of his thigh when he shoved it up his shorts... :p

I'd like to try the beaverbong one day, though. That's just... interesting! :D
