Ok, so as you guys know, I play Matrix Online when I'm bored, or not on FSX. Anyways to add to playing in the game, I also write RP stories for my in game character, and I post them on the Matrix Online forum. Eh most of my stories are ok. So I write one when my character changes side, and I decided to use another in game character. Now I wrote this story to explain why I changed faction. The real reason being was that eh, I didn't like staying in that faction anymore. Anyways, I write this story about me changing sides and factions, and I use another player's character. I capture his player's attitude on the whole situation (EPNs Vs. Cyphs if you must know) and I use the real fights that we've had in game in this story. So I post the story online, and what happens, this guy complain about how I made him to look like the bad guy. I did not make anyone look like the bad guy. I simply made him look like the guy who didn't consider EPNs terrorist (In the game, Machines and Zion do) and who wanted me to play nice with them. Really at the end, it's just a story, and it's just in game characters, it's not really you, and jeez. Some people just take RPing wayyyy too seriously, what started out as what I thought a "ok" story turned out to be an "insult". Ahh idiots.

yeah. basically. if you RP for too long you end up hurting someones feelings, which is them playing out of character and... well, cheating. those cheating idiots.

I honestly got sick of roleplaying when I was young because people were telling me I wasn't RPing the "right way," and then after me yelling at them about it for a while and them calling me a dick, I told em:

"I'm playing in character, you whiny douchebags... I'm a dick."

Well I never played WoW, so I can't personally comment, but I've heard that it sucks.

I just don't get it, I mean I've had bad things say about my character, but do I bitch about it. No, I just realize that this is just RP and the person's real opinion of me may be completely different, I don't associate MetaLogic (my character) with me.

Well I never played WoW, so I can't personally comment, but I've heard that it sucks.

Having stopped playing WoW about a month ago I can say that WoW is perhaps the most addictive thing this side of Heroin.

But I think it is a great game, espcecially when you get a good guild and there are 40 of you all doing the right thing to down a boss. It's a great feeling.

As for RP, I was on an RPpvp server and as with all things internet there are lots of people to tell you the right and wrong way to 'RP' my mates RP was basically flirting with every female Gnome going. Mine was playing an old mage who liked to talk shit and make bad jokes.

Just go with what you feel is right for you and fook at the know it alls, who imo know so little.

My boyfriend got me addicted to SWG, and now we have a chart of who gets to play at what time and for how long. :p

RPing is fun, but like in anything else, there are jerks out there who don't understand that concept.

Funny, you always struck me as the type who would get his girlfriend addicted to something other than MMORPGs. Such as the scorn, schadenfreude, cynicism, and sarcasm.
