Your favourite four letter band?
I V Stalin

I can't remember exactly what we were originally talking about, but this question came up with some friends the other day. I believe I'd just pointed out that there was only one good four letter band ending in '-ush', and it wasn't Bush (English, not Canadian). I think most of you can guess who I was thinking of. Check with Potarius if you're not sure...;)
Anyway, we were rather limited in how many we could think of, what with being drunk and all, and we only came up with these ones - Bush, Rush, Isis, Tool, Muse, Beck, Blur, Pulp and Hole.
And clearly Isis is the best of that lot.
So, what's your favourite four letter band?
(And no, you can't have RATM or SOAD...not so sure about VAST).

I've always been a fan of Cake. And let's not forget AC/DC. (Does that even count?)

Depends on your definition of 'good', really. For example, if by 'good' you mean 'kinda average', then yes.

Lessee, there's Orgy, Cold, W.A.S.P., Wire, Pink (though I suppose she isn't a band), Jesu, Lard, and Dink.
There are also Pure, Soil, Down, Numb, Sigh, and others, but I haven't personally heard them.
Would a band with 'The' at the beginning count, like The Amps or The Cure?

Yeah, in a silly sort of way, but since much of the humour is based upon Australian celebrities (and some of the material has become a little dated), some of it will be lost on you.
You've probably seen the flash video for "Everyone Else has Had More Sex Than Me", but try downloading the tracks "(He'll Never Be An) Ol' Man River", "Greg! The Stop Sign" and "Defecate on my Face" for a quick intro.
