What do you think about the new government in Palestine? Do you think it will last? Do you think it will aid the peace process or not? Will economic aid to Palestine resume?

What do you think?

Count on Hamas asshattery (perhaps with encouragement from the Israeli government) to scuttle this ship as well.

Meh. If it gets foreign aid back to Palestine, then it's a good thing, I suppose, but I'm disappointed in the extreme that a democratic and fair election has been undermined.

I think it is wonderful that Muslims are finally uniting. Not every Palestinian is a Muslim.

I think it is wonderful that Muslims are finally uniting. I think it will last though I doubt it will help things as far as peace or economic aid. Still, it is a step in the right direction.

Who knows. They've already declared ceasefire after ceasefire, and the killing in the streets continued. can factions that were literally killing each other's families in the streets a week ago run a government together?

It's better than them killing each other.

Beyond that, I have no idea.

I can't see them having a pint and a laugh about it all any time soon....Even if they do agree they hate the Israelies more than each other...

Well then I guess I'll have to get a debate going..

Should the U.N. resume sending relief aid to Palestine?

I'd demand to see a few months of cease fire, first. Then, demand recognition of Israel's right to exist. Then send them aid. You'd never make it to step three.

I think this is it. This is the event that will tilt the scales toward peace and within a few short years, the bloodshed will end and there will be a thousand years of peace in the Holy Land as Jews, Muslims and Christians live together in harmony in a sea of wildflowers while children play happily with duckies and bunnies.

Then again, I also think that rollercoasters should have ejection seats. :)

You really are a bit of an idiot to think everyone in palestine are muslims , just because there are muslim gangs and organisations roaming the streets killing anyone who isn't doesn't mean that other faiths can't be there.

Proof of these gangs, please, or it's pure conjecture (not about not everyone being a Muslim, that is indeed true, but the gangs stuff).

I am glad this unity deal did not recognize Israel, recognition of the occupier is the first step in collaboration with the occupier and oppressor, hopefully this will mean a united Palestinian front against Zionist aggression in the territories.
