Apparently the comedy anchor of Fox's new "Half hour news hour" (Gag) actually has an established career. And apparently changed his name just before beginning work on the show. It is conceivable that he may have changed his name so that this travesty of a program won't bring his career down with it. I just hope the man was desperate, because I know whores with too much self respect to work on that trash.

This got double posted accidentally. Could a mod please kill the other one?

So i was reading about that earlier ... and one of the Fox leaks of the show had a skit where Flush Limblob was the president and Ann "Adam's Apple" Coulter was the veep.
Laugh-f*cking-riot.
Yeah, about that nom-de-guerre thing, that's no surprise. Republicans misrepresent/change results of investigations, official comments, and actualities all the time ... no surprise that they won't have their name on it.
I'm sure they're also expecting the likes of Drudge and such to hit the torrent about 8 minutes into their first full broadcast, just to start the spin. ;)

The laugh track (and it was very obviously a laugh track) sounded like it was forced, like the laugh track's wife was being held by the Russian mob and if it didn't laugh, she would die.

It would take that to get me to laugh at that shit.

Sounds, unfortunately, like all-too-many of the other shows the U.S. public ingurgitates so gracelessly these days. It might fit right in. :(
Further, if Fox is showing it, they'll probably keep with tradition (mostly) by eradicating any good new shows in favour of this particular bilge.

Is this the one I've heard described as 'like the Daily Show, but not funny'?

Well, I can't tear myself away from it...but I think that's for the same reason that people can't stop looking at a horrific accident on the freeway. Sometimes watching careers/networks execute a rapid and painful slide into obsolescence is just so much fun to watch...
