My favorite video of all time is Flotter Osten, which is a 38 minute video of East German propaganda and television commercials from the 1950's to the late 1960's. It's a fascinating look at the GDR during the period when centrally-planned socialism worked well.

I know, I was collecting tons of old 1970's and 1980's music videos. The best thing was, the music quality on most of them was comparable to the kind I could get from iTunes or somewhere like that.
(That's because MP3s sound like crap)
Plus a whole mess of Daily Show and Colbert Report clips. Too bad Viacom went on a YouTube jihad and deleted them all.
