Why can't we just have an honest MotherFing debate? Not try to control language, not make the other guy seem evil. Just debate the merits of the case and then decide? The answer=because their side would be trounced if playing on fair terms. I need to go defecate upon defecation and then vomit on it.

We can't have a debate that you desire here because passions get inflamed and people have the desire to revert to their childish forms and point fingers at each other, ganging up on the weakest and mocking them.

Shock horror, politicians want to avoid the hard questions and only address issues that make them look good. This isn't isolated to the GOP.

Welcome to the real world.

This is my point, but it has become far more pervasive in the GOP under Bush. The Dems are party to it at times, but the Bush presidency has brought secrecy and "truthiness" to an all time high. Face it, the administration lied and the IG confirmed it the other day. Don't believe it was all Feith's fault. He's a dick, but he was ordered by a bigger Dick with a bad ticker I'm sure. And this real world line, it's only the real world if you (the voting public) allow it. What the quote? "You can't take part, you can't even passively take part and you have to through yourself into the machine upon the gears to stop it from working," or something like that :) Are you not committed to the truth as I am? Maybe we need a revolution because I'm tired of the "well that's just the way it is, ho hum."

How about you put some thought into the situation before you start running through the streets crying "Revolution!". The republicans don't want to talk about escalation, because it makes them look bad. It follows that the Democrats would definately want to talk about escaltion, so they can make the Republicans look bad.

They'll balance out each other's attempts to only talk about what makes them look good.
