I've never had a high opinion of my self, well up till these past so many months. I used to be extremely over weight, and I guess towards the end of last year my body started to refuse absorbing nutrients out of food because of high stress and some depression. I guess you could say I went anoerexic for a few months, but I've sort of recovered. Yet, it's strange. I beat up on my self when I eat 'more' than usual. Then I'll ration how I eat, eat a bit here and there and none at all some days. Extremely lately I've been eating everyday...

I've been told I'm 'a handsome young man' but I don't know. I don't believe I look Dog Ugly, but I'll definately be one of those guys who has the ex-cheerleader marry when they are in their 30s because the girl finally realized the hot guys are dipshits and the guys like me are an okay catch as far as looks go. I'm doubtful that depression or stress can interfere with the nutritional absorbtion properties of digested material, but thier is no doubt if you were eating less, you were processing less than you were used too (you stated you used too be obese) Perhaps this drastic change is what occured. Anyway I digress, I like how you see yourself. I take wonderful care of myself by lifting weights three times a week, taking tae-kwon-do lessons, and I watch what I eat without going on a strict diet. It doesn't take much to be attractive. I rarely feel attractive. In fact quite the opposite. Maybe not physically but there's something that's not quite right.

I have many female friends. They all tell me I'm a great guy, physically attractive though skinny, that I deserve a good woman and that the way I bring up my son by myself is hugely attractive. They also tell me that the best way is to be friends with a woman first. Yet, I find that once I develop an emotional attachment to any of them beyond friendship they don't want to know any more. It goes from "oh I wouldnt want to spoil our good friendship" to being like I dont exist any more.

So, developing a relationship with someone I meet by chance hasn't worked (though it got as far as marriage and a child until my partner decided she wanted one of my friends instead) and being friends first hasn't worked because they either turn out to be not such friends as I though (just completely blank me) or don't want to jeapordise a friendship.

So come on ladies, can't have it both ways, you either want a friend first, or you want the whirlwind romance and excitement of "meeting a stranger". which is is?

I'm not attractive but I'm supremely confident, so most people don't notice. Being so utterly convinced of my own superiority gives me a certain power over attractive people with less self esteem. Seriously. As ugly as I am I've never had trouble pulling women far out of my class, even when 'cute' guys are competing.

My pics consistently get a 7 on Hot or Not, so I guess I'm not TOO horrible looking...

I don’t think I am attractive, but I know that I catch people’s eyes… I often dress in bright colors and wear ruffled shirts. (to get an image across... Imagine Jabba the Hut in a bright colored corset and a white ruffled shirt) The fact that I am by far the quickest learner in all of my classes at college keeps me contempt with my self image. Nothing makes you feel better than being crazy, smart, AND a snazzy dresser.
