I started thinking about this the other night, when I read a thread about flirting. I feel that generally I am really flirty. I flirt pretty much with everyone(i have even flirted with a few guys for the hell of it hahah). So I was wondering, do you good folks out there in NSG land flirt alot? Or not at all? or what?

Not really. I know I'm too intense, self-absorbed and serious person at present to be any good at it, and when I try, I come across lika an elephant trying to traverse a mini-golf course.

Going by definitions posted in that previous flirt thread, two of every three females I know.

IRL, very unflirty, especially lately.
Online, (for example, gabbly....) I tend to be a bit more flirty, for whatever reason.

I try to be friendly and make jokes. But I dont flirt. And I dont usually get it when I'm flirted with. Some flirtation genes seem to be missing in me.

if i'm drunk and i'm not talking about myself then, yes, very much so. i just keep telling people i think they're lovely and beautiful and stuff. and looking deep into their eyes, i'm good at that when i'm drunk too. i've tried it when i'm sobre and it doesn't work, my mouth dries up and i mumble and i can feel myself desperately trying to tear my eyes away. it must look very strange.

Apparently according to the other thread my default behaviour is flirt. With whatever. So long as it generates amusement. Me and a friend constantly play up to his girlfriends vague paranoia that we're a closet gay couple. Much fun to be had by all. Except his girlfriend. She gets pissed.

I can be quite a lot. However, it's gotten me into trouble. Mainly because of 1.a hissy fit girlfriend, and 2.accusations of leading girls on. Which I never intend, I'm not like that, but it's hard to avoid sometimes.

I flirt almost too much, and I'm really manipulative about it. Most of the time I don't even realize I'm flirting, or flirt without any further interest in the person at hand. But it happens, seems to be my nature, and the nature of most women around me.

I'm missing the same gene. I really can't get the hang of flirting, and you pretty much have to hopd up a giant neon sign saying "hey I kinda like you" before I'll get it. And inevitably when I do work up the nerve to flirt with someone, they have no interest in me. Which I don't figure out until after I've made an ass out of myself.

I'm usually too drunk to care if someone is talking to me or not. Last weekend? Drunk twice. About 15 beers and a fair bit of vodka and gin over two days. (Which really isn't a good idea). But it's nice to know at least SOMEONE is talking to you.

Its the whole "woman in charge" mindset. There is something to us guys that likes a women who is in charge, or in this case, sorta violent. It is a very odd thing, i must agree.

On the rare times someone tries to talk to me I speak in flat tones, often in monosylables or at least with as few words as possible. Sometimes I feel a grunt might suffice. Also I avoid eye contact and make zero effort to keep the conversation moving. I hope this helps answer the question.

Well, I've gone through flirty phases. As a teenager, I firmly believed myself to be hideous and unlovable and thus never flirted with anyone. Once I got to college and had multiple guys declare their undying love and/or lust for me, I reconsidered this position and became significantly more likely to flirt with people. Now that I've resolved to stay celibate for a while, I barely ever flirt with anyone, though I do still occasionally flirt with folks online, where they and I both know nothing will come of it.

I'm a terrible, terrible flirt. Thing is, I don't necessarily intend to be - but I think nowadays, basically any conversation between a girl and a guy can be misconstrued as flirting. If I joke with guys the way I joke with my girlfriends, it's considered flirting.

LOL. That's why I usually wait the first move from the other side. The most I do is to try to find a common interest (like playing tennis) and tell her that we should play sometime...
