Michelle Malkin is silly

I watch her Hot Air video blogs about two three times a week because I'm a masochist...or something. For someone who wants bloggers(Of the right-wing variety) to be seen as a legitimate alternative to the "liberal American-hating mainstream media" she sure does a terrible job at maintaining what little credibility these bloggers have. At the risk of providing her wonderful website with more hits, here's a couple of videos showing Malkin's professional journalistic and commentary skills: http://hotair.com/archives/2007/02/07/hot-air-theater-presentsamanda-marcotte-part-ii/ and http://hotair.com/archives/2007/02/05/hot-air-theater-presentsamanda-marcotte/

So, what do you people think? Is she a partisan hack with absolutely no relevancy? Or is a she a partisan hack who makes legitimate points?

I'm leaning towards the former, while at the same time hoping she catches a raging case of super-herpes.

If so, then yeah, she's a bitch.

I was okay with Anne until I found out about her dismissal of war widows' involvement in politics. That was just mean.

I don't know much about Malkin, but I do know that Berkley commies (http://zombietime.com/malkin/) don't like her. This makes me gravitate to her side.

And yes, she is a bitch. Just not nearly as big a bitch as Coultergeist.

I heard her interviewed on the radio once. Something about Danish imams (I think). For 7 minutes she spoke (approx) and at least 5 of these were about herself. Rarely have I come across such unashamed, polished, unstoppable self publication. It was either the American dream, or the American nightmare, a mutant that could only come from a society that promotes the individual above all else.

Okay, so tell me why you think that about Hillary? I will give you that she's not as personable as one might like, but what has she actually done that evokes this kind of response? Political hypocrisy doesn't count, all politicians on both sides of the aisle will say what they think people want to hear. Aside from the easy shots, what have you got?

She's also, as the Americans like to call them, a llibbburral. And many Americans do not like this.

Well theres the fact she contradicts her previous political ambitious and convictions every time an election comes around. Another thing is with her bid for the white house. Sure everybody is doing it, but Clintons is obviously the most blatant attempt at becoming more of a moderate. Thiers the attempted theft of federal property a few years back. Oh, and stating "If I was president in 2002 we would not have gone too war!" This of course is strange considering she voted for its intialization... I just feel like her as a moderate, let alone centrist platform is just a ruse.... Other than that, its good too see female ambition, as she is an excellent role model for american women in my opinion, along with Pelosi. They have truly shown a woman who gives a good shot at things, along with sticking too thier education, can assume some of our countrys most respected postions.

What attempted theft of federal property a few years back? The rest is just her being a politician, which I excluded. Hell, everyone is running for President now, I was thinking of forming an exploratory committee myself. I will agree that everyone who voted for the war, both the Afghan one and the one in Iraq needs to be slapped. Maybe we can line them all up and have the Sergeant At Arms of the House do that.

None of that makes her a bitch. It makes her an assertive, forceful woman who holds political beliefs and takes political action that other people don;t agree with. In other words, you got nothing.

That's not too far off the mark. Roosevelt fellated Stalin pretty heavily, and also doled out Eastern Europe to him and China to Mao.

Hillary is a welfare state warmonger, who will shoot people when it's the popular thing to do, like Iraq, and rip people off when it's the profitable thing to do, like the bankruptcy bill, a travesty of legislation with no constituency whatsoever besides executives at credit card lending banks. She'll throw bread and circuses at us to shut us up, parrot the anti-war line with a flourish of her own mind-numbing triangulation, and thus earn "libruhl" cred. But this program is really no different from neoconservatism or "compassionate conservatism". In short, Hillary's sin is that she is a Republican by another name. And that doesn't smell sweet to me.

Erm, nice strawman. You can't simply exclude her political convictions....Becuase technically thats what everyone has against Malkin. In your definition, nobody has anything on Malkin....Or Michael Moore....or Ann Coulter. I'm stating her hypocrisy and shaky feet on any issue every election is what I dislike about her... I wish she could hold her beliefs....social and economic....Prepetually. Its also nice that you dismiss responsibility of her vote for the war, but everyone who has changed positions deserves scrutiny...Even Hillary.

I heared about illegal procuremnet of white house furniture when Bill and Her left...Can't seem too find it though.

And theres this stuff. Every politician has controversies, but we're discussing Hillary. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillary_Rodham_Clinton_controversies)

I'll tell you the reason why I at least respect Hillary Clinton. She's been the target of the most consistent and dishonest smear campaign of any person since 1992, even more so that her husband, and her approval ratings are still above 50%. In this thread, she's been mockingly compared to the antichrist. She's been lied about, her positions have been mischaracterized, and the only thing that's really stuck against her as a negative is her position on video games. Hell, I'll throw in her flag-burning position as another "move to the right" that causes me to mistrust her.

But in the end, she's got substance. She's not the leading Democratic candidate because she's female or because her name is Clinton. She's there because she's politically savvy and that just drives people out of their goddamn minds, even around here.

She's low on my list of Democratic candidates for President because she's not progressive enough for my tastes, but I don't hate her, and I certainly wouldn't be holding my nose if she won the nod and I voted for her in November 2008. But at least I've got substantive reasons for preferring other candidates, and I'm not relying on bullshit like "she tried to misappropriate federal property" which a stupid lie and nothing more.

And Malkin? To say she pales in comparison to Clinton's gravitas is to give her too much credit. Without right-wing smear merchants funding her, Malkin would be lucky to be writing for the weekly rag in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
