Some good news!
Following the sad demise of our party, I have temporarily taken on the role of Acting-President. During my time as this a merger was proposed between the New British Imperial Party and the Choose Your Pogo Stick Wisely Party.
Following the excellent manifesto (found here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12302681&postcount=447)) produced by Ifreann, I have formally accepted the proposed merger.
From this moment forward we work with the former CYPSW party members as the New British Choose Your Imperial Pogo Stick Wisely Party!
I am hoping that Ifreann will start a thread for the new party soon. The link shall be posted here once it is.
Our sad days of dormancy are hopefully ended.
Onwards for Emparh!

P.S. If you wish to join the party and you are not a former member of either the NBIP or the CYPSW party then it is still quite possible for you to join.

Having been involved with the party from its origins, and thus being infintely better qualified to dictate party policy than yourself, I propose two motions;

- Firstly, I challenge you to a duel for control of the party.

- Secondly, I spit, defecate and generally dribble unpleasantly upon the merger you propose.

I second most if not all of that also "Acting-President" is a position that reeks of someone who needs ejecting from the party ;)

If you'd been paying any attention to the Parliament thread or even our glorious party's thread you'd see that I built-in an important clause:
Anyone who is senior in terms of length of service to the party may order me to stand down at any point, although the Lord Sah Gurguvungunit may also do so as he has earned my utmost respect.
I merely felt that, as the thread has been in dormancy save for a few isolated and rather silly posts, I would attempt to revive it.
I feel that a political alliance with the CYPSW party would be best to do this, as it would immediately increase the member base, allow a fresh beginning and, indeed, it has already been proposed once in the past, and our leader Lord Philosophy was not at all opposed to it.
If you feel that it is a bad move, then I suggest we attempt to contact the real party leaders and get them to decide it. This would include the Lord Philosophy and Lord Aust (from the original thread, or so I believe).
They are the only ones able to settle it completely, for you have no more legitimacy as Acting-President for the party than myself.

Of course, if you wish to duel, then as a British gentleman I have no choice but to engage in one with you.

A moral dilemma. I built nothing into my temporary position as regarding what to do if one member senior to me orders my resignation as Acting-President and another, more senior member orders me not to...
As a British gentleman which one do I obey? I did say ANY member senior to me could order me to step down, but another one more senior has supported me...
