My and my friend were filming a music video today. In one scene men with (cheap, tacky, platic) guns arrive at my house and come in. About an hour, maybe an hour and half later two police officers came in and asked about a sighting of men with guns coming into the house. It was quick and easily sorted but an hour and half to arrive? Thats very worrying.

Lots of factors involved...

1) that the call was placed the moment you think it was.
2) no follow up report of any hostilities, so the cops figured it was nothing. now if another caller reported gunshots/yelling and screaming...
3) so it was safe to assume that the persons were (A) playing a prank, (B) some sort of costume event

did you ask them why it took 1 - 2 hours to respond?
