This means I can see R-rated movies, yet I can still pass off as like 14, and sometimes get the kids' admission and save 3 dollars as long as I don't talk.

I was recently sitting on an airplane in the exit row since they have more room and a flight attendant comes up to me and asks,

"Are you 15?"

"I'm 16"

"You don't look 16"

"Yeah, I know."

So as a whole, turning 17 is going to suck since I look 3-4 years younger than I actually am.

I think so.
I don't accept the previous explanation for there being no 0-9 catagory.
It's an anonymous poll, I don't see any reason to disenfranchise a group who are certainly more numerous here than 90-100 year-olds.

I could say something snarky about intellectual age ... but as a very immature 42-y.o, it would proabably backfire on me. :p

In real life I'm constantly mistaken for being at least two years younger than I really am as well. On the other hand, in written communication or any other type of communication in which my face and body can't be seen, I'm frequently assumed to be in my mid-20s. So thus whenever I tell people my age, on the internet or in real life, I receive a lot of "No way!"s and "I thought you were 15 and/or 21!"

I know that feeling, but my situation is weirder...I get customers at work making casual conversation and asking me what year of high school i'm in - i've finished university :p But back at university when I was first starting out at the ripe old age of 17, I had people guessing that I was in my early-to-mid 20s. Go figure.

Online, though, i've had a few people guess my age at about 30.

Considering that I started out the right way -- reading all the stickies and keeping my nose clean -- I found most people out via the profile threads. That's why I have few illusions about age, especially when I actually speak to the people more in-depth (for instance, simply reading certain RPers' IC posts made me think they were older than I perceived them to be when talking to them on, say, IRC). =^.^=

 I shouldn't have touched that printer! There's something real weird printed on my index finger!

And that show I watched as a child suddenly makes sense!

Catalasia is the Count.
Smunkee is Zoe.
DCD is Elmo.
So many of us are Oscar the Grouch it isn't worth listing us all.
I'm the understudy of the Cookie Monster (that's Il Ruffino, of course) I get a gig when he has RSI.

I haven't worked out who's Big Bird or Grover yet.

Yeah see, I'm just that special. As for not getting deated, it's probably because the mods like me far too much to delete me. <.< >.> That, or I don't have anything in my 180 whole posts over 3 years that breaks the rules.

As promised: You're a 25-year-old married woman living in Oklahoma (state of origin may have been Arizona, or you may have just lived there for a while) with the rather unusual name of Joey, nicknamed Smunkee, I'm thinking the last name starts with an R but I can't place it. 2 kids, works as some kind of consultant and runs a few school-related programs, history of substance abuse and the like before converting to Christianity and actually following it in a remotely sensible fashion, left home at 15 and still can't stand your parents....

Also, while you don't know it yet, your favourite colour is green. You may think it's something else, but you're just in denial. I CAN SEE INTO YOUR SOUL! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!

You're a 20-year-old unemployed ex-student named Chris living in Melbourne, Australia with decidedly left-wing views, a fondness for drugs and alcohol, and all of the functions necessary to operate a computer. You also know a few NSers in person and may be willing to be recruited to find out which NS nation Max uses. *nodnod*

Hmmmm...not quite. I have a job, and my fondness for drugs doesn't extend past marijuana.

Alcohol's a drug too, and I believe you partake of that on occasions as well.

Ok, so it's a technicality. All of the great legal victories were on technicalities!
