Yeah, I know we had one already, but this seemed easier than thread necromancy. Not to mention less annoying.

Anyway, I've been listening to:

Apocalyptica
The Aquabats
Bad Religion
Dead Kennedys
The Dresden Dolls
Flogging Molly
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Sonata Artica
Tom Lehrer
Voodoo Glow Skulls
Northern Borders

Sonatta Arctica has a live CD that is quite good.

Three brazilian bands I´ve listening, if people want some original sounding stuff:

Chico Science
Seu Jorge
O Rappa

Queen.

Didn't you start an entire thread based on one of their songs a while back?

Also, for the Dead Kennedys, try "Kinky Sex Makes the World Go Round", "Holiday in Cambodia" and "I Fought The Law"

Right now I'm listening to the Beatles. One of my favourite bands.
"Love is all, love is new.
Love is all, love is you."

Soon we'll be away from here
Step on the gas and wipe that tear away
One sweet dream came true today

Where's the "Stiff Little Fingers" option on the poll? :p

For me.... Right now:

- Bad Religion
- Minor Threat
- Chumbawamba
- Embrace (US, not the UK Indy crap)
- Stiff Little Fingers
- Sham 69
- Fugazi
- Billy Bragg
- Phil Ochs
- The Queers
- Machinae Supremacy
- Blind Guardian
- Avantasia

And others, who I can't think of right now.

Anybody give a listen to Jerry Casale's latest band - "Jihad Jerry & The Evildoers"? It's a lot of fun.

I need help. I want to get some new bands, so I can mention my musical preferences without people going "OMG. You are teh sux0rz!" *cough*TBD*cough*. Yeah, I like AC/DC. I also like Iron Man by Black Sabbath. I'm willing to listen to any hard rock, so recommend anything at all.

EDIT: If possible, link me to Youtube videos. I have no money to download music.
The Metal Horde

The rest of Black Sabbath is good, too, you know. I don't really know what you listen to specifically other than AC/DC and Jethro Tull; I think they're the only ones that I've seen you mention. Now, to scroll through all of my music in iTunes, will take a while, but I'll skim through to see what else I could recommend.
Ghost Tigers Rise
04-02-2007, 21:29
Get Lamb of God, and early In Flames. As I Lay Dying, too.

I only know Locomotive Breath. Jethro Tull seems pretty subjective, because I tried listening to Aqualung, and I didn't like it at all.

Accept, George Thorogood, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Who, Scorpions, Def Leppard, Deep Purple, .38 Special, Audioslave, Soundgarten, Billy Joel, Boston, Kansas, Dio, Foreigner, Genesis, Journey, Kiss, Meat Loaf, Queen, The Rolling Stones, REO Speedwagon, Santana, Styx, Twisted Sister, Van Halen, Wolfmother, ZZ Top

You're crazy. Thick as a Brick is probably the best song they've done, IMO at least.

Rammstein
Breaking Benjamins
Metallica
Rejistania

I'd recommend Freibeuter AG :>
Grape-eaters
04-02-2007, 21:43
All original Black Sabbath. Electric Wizard. Iron Maiden. Deep Purple. The Mars Volta. Primus. Tool. Slayer.

Note: all of the above bands may or may not appeal to your tastes. Probably most of them won't. I'm just posting ideas, because I have no clue what your actual musical tastes are.

I agree with pretty much everything you posted. I would have recommended the Volta above almost all else, but I was trying to appeal to his tastes.

I know that. But I just needed a title. Wasn't thinking. How did you get all the posts to timewarp?

The flux capacitor needs fixing big time.

Flogging molly isn't really punk, more Alternative and a little folk.

I'm more of a British-Indie man myself.

I think the mods spliced them together.'

Trust me, if I could timewarp threads they would be in the most awkward order. The first post would be the last post, and the last post would be in the middle, and so on and so forth.

And here I was expecting you to be promoting Chuck B as the best Punk band.

And I voted for Bad Religion. Why? "This. Is. Just. A. Punk. Rock. SONG!"

Yes it is.

Meh. Bad Religion was better before they got all poppy like that. Suffer and earlier are their best material. After that, everything goes downhill.

Edit: Essentially, everything was better before Brian Baker. He lost his edge after Minor Threat.

Ok... the stuff I listen to...

Pink Floyd
Metallica
Dragon Force
Marylin Manson
Rob Zombie
Ozzie Ozbourne
Weird Al
occasional AC/DC and Rage Against the Machine

Otherwise... Practically none of the stuff on that list.

It's also their first EP. Up until 1992 or thereabouts, they are great. From '92 to about '98 they are okay. Since '98, they haven't done anything near as great as their early stuff.
