This is not a joke! (or is it)

So which kinds of threads do you like more, serious or non-serious?

I don't care as long as I have an opinion about something.... which usually keeps me away from the serious ones :p

Threads about more "trivial" things are the most interesting to me.. I'm perfectly capable of reading the news and providing my own sarcasm or spin, so "serious" threads here aren't worth much to me. However, threads having to do with art or music or personal interests or humor are great. The whole "here's my spin on a recent event..." not as good.

Bah, I post more in non-serious threads but that doesn't mean I don't like serious ones.

And there are huuuuuuge differences among non-serious threads, too. I'm rather picky about what constitutes a good social thread (aka "spam with a point") and what's just pointless drivel. Even if you can't always tell from my posts. <.<

I prefer serious threads. I can't follow non-serious threads, and no one pays any attention to me in them.

i've not identified any particular pattern to my posting. i guess it depends what kind of mood i'm in. but i almost always vote in polls. the only time i don't is if there's only two options and i don't agree with either of them. i do like polls though :)

They all briefly went down, with /i/ on 7chan removed and 420chan shut down for a while. 7chan is down again right now, but because of maintenance rather than any kind of attack of legal reason.

Good. :)

So what is it, then? Do I project seriousness or something?Bah, it's likely just me. I tend to get shocked into self-consciousness with some of the more skillful debaters out there and kind of preemptively feel like a schmuck. :p

Serious bisexual male.

(Why do so many people think I'm female? That's another enduring mystery.)

I don't know, actually. A lot of people think (or thought) I'm female because of my nation's name.

I didn't mean for it to insult you... just me.

The fact that I debate well is hardly to my credit - it's an accident of birth and environment, and a compensation for my lack of talent in virtually every other area.

That, and an expression of just how much I loathe bigotry and capitalism.

Same here. A good thread's a good thread, seriouis or silly.

I suspect it's a combo of things - but especially the thread title and topic are probably going to attract less serious people.

Yeah it is sort of a loaded thread isn't it. Especially considering the topic isn't particularly serious.
