Has anyone heard of this?
And if so, how does it rate?
It's just that he's coming here to HK in a couple of months to run his 2-day workshop into film-making.
It looks interesting, but (oddly enough), I'd prefer not to spend a fairly hefty amount on something that turns out to be a waste of a weekend and money (fee is~$400US).
Googling doesn't help that much, as the first few pages are just all basically advertising about how great it is - it is run at Sundance, though, which is a plus.
I
Their site's front page loudly proclaims Tarrantino, Spike Lee, Guy Ritchie, Kevin Smith etc as some of his past graduates - as well pointing out that past graduates films have grossed $6 Billion.
This is what makes me a bit reserved about signing up. That more space is given to overwhelming us with name-dropping and money than is to what the course actually entails.

So if anyone out there (and I know there's so NS'ers who are involved in film and media but can't remember which ones) who has heard of this and knows more, pls respond. Especially if they know whether it's worth it or not.
Cheers
(PS. And how do you say his last name without it sounding like 'Semen'?)
