A team is being dispatched to Omsk in Russia to find out why yellow and orange snow fell there. The snow has a "musty" odor. I wonder what could cause yellow snow to fall from the sky? Pollution? Weird algae growing in the clouds? God peeing his name into the earth? Do you folks have any ideas?

"Residents are advised not to use snow for their household or technical needs and to limit walking, either by people or their pets, in this area,"

Frank Zappa, having prepared for just this situation before his death said
Watch out where the huskies go and don't you eat that yellow snow.

Space pee. all of the astronauts that pee into space have been unwittingly contributing to a great semi-frozen mass of orbiting space pee. Perhaps a small gob of space pee has broken away from the rest and re-entered earth's atmosphere. *nod*

The locals should thank their lucky stars it wasn't a bit of Space Poo. :p

It's probably a favourite reindeer meeting place. They fly in at night, leaving again before the morning, and no-one's the wiser.

I'm not sure of the details, but I feel certain that Fiddlebottoms is responsible.

They said it had a high iron content. That would explain the color but not why there's enough iron in the air/clouds to rust in the moisture and dye the snow. I know it's an industiral area, but dear G-d, that's disgusting!
