I'm surprised that you didn't mention that it has zero functionality compared to IRC. But I don't hate it. No point sitting in an empty IRC room is there?

gabbly goes too fast for me, i went on a couple of times at the beginning and i couldn't keep up with the conversation.

It's sadly MUCH slower now. We have but a few regulars anymore.

Gabbly is a lot like NSG, only it's NSG on fire and going 130 miles per hour through a hospital zone being chased by helicopters and ninjas.

And the ninjas are all on fire, too.

I go on there every once in awhile (trying to limit it seeing as it cuts into homework time even more than NSG), but it's almost always empty. :(

Seeing as no one else is giving a straight answer, putting gabbly.com/ in front of General's URL (or any other) puts up a chat window in front of it. With all the other people that have opened Gabblys for that address.

Gabbly doesn't like my browser so no gabbly for me. Haven't checked out iSketch yet. I have enough problems staying away from NSG.

i find nearly all IRC/Gabbly/open chat rooms to be confusing and a little scary. not to mention very cliquey

no, forums and IM are one thing
but open chat rooms and IRC are quite different

and cliques are ok if you're part of one ;)

I went on the IRC once and didn't recognise anyone, so I ran away.

nah, it loads quite quickly. it's your computer that sucks. Alos, your pools suck.

You use bersirc? its been so long sense I have used a windows client ... even on a windows box I use remotx11 and run xchat (they did have a windows client but if I remember it was a "trial")

In internet cafes it's often installed since it is open source :) my PCs run irssi.

I've never been able to get it to work. Thus I resent it and all of its users.

I dislike Gabbly because, it is a poor substitute for NSG, when NSG really seemed to be sucking going to Gabbly wouldn't allieviate the problem, it would only make it worse.
If 1/2 of what ever was said on Gabbly had been put into content form for NSG, thinks would be a hell of a lot better.

In saying that i know New Peeland had some fun on it.:p
And i had an enjoyable conversation with Straughn on it, it still largely sucks.
