A very simple question really. Should party politics exist?
I say no.
Why?
Because with party politics, it seems that every member of a political party will only take the stances that that party says and no others. No matter how much they might disagree with one of the party's stances, they will not go against it due to the fact that they need to be accepted within the party. No matter what they believe is right, they will stick to the party's belief. Not their own. We need to believe in what we want to believe in politics, not what our party tells us. If people don't support their own beliefs, this results in an inherently weaker system
Also, with party politics, we have no arguement besides what our party has. If you look at most politicians today, they simply spout out the same thing that every single last member of their party does. With party politics, it almost seems as though people are simply incapable of making their own arguements. This will too result in an inherently weaker system.
And yes, this even applies to some "Independent" politicians, since most of the time they're only independent because they don't want to have to have the name of the party on them, while of course they still believe in most of the things a certain party does.
So, your thoughts on the matter?
I say no.
