It had a very low likelyhood of success from the start. Fuck it.
I'm kind of thrown by some remarks I've heard from military people. They think that if we don't go through with the surge and keep fighting regardless of the money and men sacrificed that their dead comrades have died for nothing. News flash, from the beginning this war was for nothing. We've only succeeded in handing Iraq over to Iran. Don't be angry at those who are honest enough to tell you that all your sacrifices were for nothing, be angry at those who actually sent you to fight, kill and die for nothing.
